Cougs take on Texas AM. Iowa and Wichita St
2 of 3 would be outstanding.

Yeah, the HBP’s and BB’s really hurt the Cougs in the final 2 games. Their reward? Undefeated OSU next weekend.Well the Cougs put on a performance against A&M and then crapped the bed in the remaining 2 games. Roughrider stadium is a beautiful venue. The A&M crowd was less then pleased with their ball club and let them hear it throughout the game. A good showing of Coug fans for the Friday night game.
I checked out Little Elm vs Lovejoy on Saturday afternoon. Our QB, John Mateer started the game on the mound and gave up a 3 run dinger in the first and was yanked the next inning. It was boys against men as Lovejoy beat Little Elm 20-6. Mateer made some athletic plays at shortstop, didn't fair to well at the plate. The starting pitcher for Lovejoy pitched a 1 hitter through 5 and hit 2 bombs.
Mateer is a good athlete, but I don't think he is D1 baseball talent. He is solidly built, fast and very athletic. He has mentioned in the past that he would be intersected in playing baseball at WSU. IMO his future is football for sure.
Toured 3 high school sports complexes in the Frisco/Plano/Dallas area. Unreal how much money is pumped into HS sports. Every high school in the area have enormous multi purpose facilities WSU would be envious of. Just a whole different ballgame in Texas when it comes to HS sports.
Don’t forget the wild pitches and errors. Hope we see the self inflicted damage get better through the year. I’m hopeful… but that’s purely based in trying to be optimistic.Yeah, the HBP’s and BB’s really hurt the Cougs in the final 2 games. Their reward? Undefeated OSU next weekend.
OSU finally lost a game this weekend to UC Irvine but the Beavers are a powerhouse. They are reportedly without two starting pitchers (at least they missed the Irvine series) but haven't released a lot of details about the extent of the injuries. It's their offense I fear most....they can really smack the ball. All the more reason for Cougar pitchers to not to give free passes.Yeah, the HBP’s and BB’s really hurt the Cougs in the final 2 games. Their reward? Undefeated OSU next weekend.
