Wth iis going on with those places being freaking slip and slides? I dont seem to recall natural surfaces being so slick outside of the last 5 years or so .iirc, there was a baseball team that had to replace their field bc the turf was too slick (maybe not mlb...?)

And here, in the second most important game of the year, teams are slipping on their ass. What gives?

I think it’s more that the turf is soft rather than slick. So the footing they’re used to having on field turf isn’t there.
 
I think a bigger deal is often made of it than it actually is. With 90% or whatever it is being artificial, announcers make it seem awful. It hasn't been an issue this game.
 
It’s slick because they grow it outside and move it inside for the games. Lots of condensation.
