Fifth Seed Question

I agree with mikalalas. I don't see Noah bolting. His dad is Guy who is a huge COUG and played for Raveling. Sure, Noah could bolt, but because of who his dad is, Noah will most likely finish out his career at Washington State.

Add to that how he usually gets along ok with Smith(yes he pouts, has body language, slight semi attitude problems, emotional, etc, at times, but so have past players, and they didn't transfer), and starting like I said, and the likelyhood, of winning the NIT at worst, to Elite 8 in NCAA at best, 21 to 25 reg seas, 2nd in conference, 13,14,15,16 wins in conference, 2,3,4 Pac 12 tourny wins, 25 to 27 wins overall after postseason, NEXT YEAR, AND:

Noah was ALL UNIVERSE his soph year. IF he returns to that form his Senior year, he could go as high as a 1st round draft pick, If he stays at WSU, if he doesn't stay at WSU he might have a harder time returning to that form. Heck he might not even start, etc, like he would, will at WSU, and where he would end up might not do as well as WSU, and it might take time to adapt to a new system, coach, players, etc, TIME THAT HE DOESNT HAVE, as he would need to do well NOW, and he would have a better chance of doing that at WSU, as well.

Now some have said that kids make dumb decisions all the time. Some do(Noah and Rodman not as much), But Noah has his father Guy, who is NOT dumb, and who that will advise Noah to stay, not only because he is a fan, but because of the reasons I named. And Noah will probably listen to his father. And Noah is probably not going to make a bad, dumb decision, as Noah knows the things that I have said.

Noah and Rodman are just extremely unlikely to Transfer.

And there hasn't even been any rumblings, like there has been with Koulibaly, others.

Sure Noah, Rodman, others not named Rapp, Rosario, could SUDDENLY TRANSFER, etc, and a anvil could fall on my head as I leave my home too.

I think that is a bad read . He went from Option 1 to option 7. He may transfer just to start over again. What his father did has no baring on what Noah may or may not do .

Noah didn’t originally sign with WSU and he had a sister who played at UW. I’m sure Guy had influence in both those decisions. Guy played about a year and a half at WSU and until Noah’s arrival really hasn’t been involved in WSU basketball since his playing days. It is unfortunate imo but the portal is apart of college basketball these days and WSU has both benefited from and been hurt by it. No reason to think that won’t continue. I’m not as worried about Noah as I am others.

Rodman is going to Co Start with Bamba at the 3 spot. He is probably not going anywhere.

Noah is going to Start at the 2 spot. He is probably not going to transfer either.
I hope Rodman gets his shot back. He seemed to completely lose confidence in his outside shot.

Noah will never be a NBA first round pick. This is no knock on him, but his skill set even during 2020-2021 is not sufficient. It takes an athletic freak to be a first rounder, with very few exceptions.

Imo to get to the next level we need to implement an offense that doesn’t rely on being able to break a defender down off the dribble. It is obviously important to have players who if all else fails, late in the shot clock can get a good shot on their own. However that shouldn’t be your offense it should be the fall back when your offense fails. Ball movement, cuts, screens to the ball and away from the ball, general movement without the ball all done with a purpose is really lacking.
Bellermine's offense! A thing of beauty...
