Fork in the road

BTW, is T-Tim, the Chairman of the Minnesota Investment Board, jawboning the stock price down because he hates State of Minnesota pension beneficiaries or because he wants to buy more tsla?

I see we’re still going to focus on the .01% of the problem.

Just so you’re aware, Tims not impacting teslas stock at all. My guess is a majority of their stock is tied up with institutional investors, money managers managing billions in actively managed funds within 401k and IRAs, etc. Tesla just had a massive recall, insurance companies won’t insure the cyberturd, and Elons doing more drugs than an 80s hair band and casually throwing around Nazi salutes. And you’re whining about Tim? 😂

Btw, flatland, a new 2025 Model 3 rwd, long range MSRP is $34,990 after $7,500 Point of sale tax credit. (not $50,000)

The #1 selling vehicle worldwide, Tesla Model Y has an MSRP of $37,490 today with the tax rebate at point of sale. Also *not* $50,000.

FWIW, if I were to buy a car, I would be buying the Model 3 AWD performance version....not the basic bitch RWD version and definitely not their economy SUV. That car is $47,500 after the tax credit and if you buy it in any color except gray, you lose the tax credit and it's suddenly $57,000.....not $35k.

So...quit trying to be clever when you don't know what the f#ck you are talking about. I was interested in buying a Tesla until I realized that a $57,000 Tesla was the same fit and finish as a $30,000 car. I used to own an Acura TLX and while it was a bit too slow for my liking, at least the interior was a great place to be. Tesla Model 3? Not so much.

You missed his rant, got it!

BTW looks like T-Tim called the bottom @ 225

I would be happiest if he sold out Minnesota at the bottom.

It's the performance trim not the color that negates the $7,500 credit. Not sure if this will come through correctly.

I looked at the Tesla website. If you click on your link and change the tab from "Finance" to "Cash", you should see that it's $47,490. When you go to the color tab, every color but grey is at least $1,000 and that puts the Model 3 Performance above the $55,000 cap.

Tesla uses dynamic pricing. It literally changes from day to day. About 3 months ago we purchased a model Y performance awd. The thing is awesome. The reason for buying it wasn’t because its electric, it was for the Full Self Drive (FSD). I drive between Chelan and Redmond on Hwy 2 and don’t touch the steering wheel or pedals once.

First, let me say that I'm glad that you like your Model Y. It's not what I'm looking for in a vehicle but I'm sure it's a great one for a lot of people.

Tesla has an interesting incentive for people looking at the Tesla Model 3. If you buy a Model 3 Performance AWD with Ultra Red paint, the cost is $56,990 and the car is not eligible for the federal tax credit. If you add FSD, they add $8k to the price but they include Ultra Red at no cost instead of a $2k markup......and the car becomes eligible for the federal tax credit....so it's actually cheaper to buy a Model 3 Performance AWD with Ultra Red paint with FSD than without it.

I'm still not interested, but it's a good deal for those that are.

Good for you but no thanks. I'll use my hands and feet when I drive thank you very much. I guess I would like to see this in action. Maybe on a snow and ice covered Stevens Pass.

And these electric car rebates - I thought Trump was going to get rid of theses along with all electric mandates and incentives. Where did that go?
