Game predictions?

56-16 Cougs. Mateer goes about 23 completions out of 28 attempts, for about 365 yards, 2, 3 TD's, and about 4,5,6,7,8 rushes for about 63 yards, 2,3 more TD's.
RB's get about a combined 23 attempts split between the 3 RB's of Schlen, Pulalasi, Wayshawn Parker, for about 165 yards, 1,2 rushing TD's
1 TD run by a WR
1 Pass reception TD by Cooper Mathers the TE.
Only 1 sack allowed in 4th quarter by back up OL
Zevi plays the 4th Quarter and gets 1,2,3 TD's.

The only way that type of game or a loss happens, is IF IF IF Portland St, goes 12-0, 11-1, 10-2, 9-3, etc, for the season, AND IF IF IF IF WSU players, team take PSU for granted, don't show up to play.
That's not likely to happen as Dickert and his teams, always seem to have max effort, one game at a time, Max trying to go, focus on going 1-0 every week, etc.
There may very well be a couple, few, some very minor semi struggles at times, sloppyness, penalties, etc, but will settle down, and not only win, but the game won't be very close like your predicting, and wont be a loss, etc, and Mateer won't have the type of game to have fans calling for his head, have a QB controversy, etc.
Now Mateer might have the type of struggles, game your talking about, against Texas Tech, UW, BSU, Fresno St, etc, but not likely against Portland St.
At worst 29 to 17 Cougs.
At best 56 to 16 cougs.
At average, somewhere in the middle.
You obviously didn't read Flatland's, and my post about Mateer's Resume, the Talent on the Roster, how good the OL, QB, WR's, RB's, TE's, offense, DL, Secondary, is.
Chances of your kind of prediction happening: About 2%
With the type of talent, etc, that WSU's Roster has, if Dickert has a very close, very low scoring game, loss, etc, against Portland St, Dickert would deserve to be immediately fired.

My gut is in this ballpark. I’ll call it 48-17 just to be different.
Also would be that surprised if it’s 27-17.
As long as we don’t have 2 QBs get their backs broken.
Very Happy to be wrong about my low scoring prediction. But I’ve been a cougar fan for far too long not to be nervous about these kind of first games with a new QB though. I’m still nervous about the defence after this game but that’s for a different post.
