de Laura can throw a pretty pass and drop it into a tight window. Then, he will miss a routine pass.
Bad shovel pass, and I don’t know what it is, but the offense is so much more dynamic with McIntosh in there.

He has a diff running style than Max. Some guys style works better in some schemes.

What makes JDL special is how adept he is at selling fakes and looking off his primary receiver.
I’m sure Biggs will agree with me on this. Find JDL a bruising, off tackle running back in the portal. We’re incredibly difficult to defend with an inside runner. JDL knows how to work that beautifully.

JDL shows flashes of brilliance and ignorance in the same series. Even it out.
A bruiser that moves the chains, forces defenses to defend the inside run and opens a play action pass series wide open does wonders for JDL.

ASU is going to put up points in this game, as the heat will get to us eventually. We have to keep this going.
Never imagined we'd have them down 28 at any point in this game. D is playing well, and JDL has hit some really nice throws (not the little shovel pass...that wasn't good).
Need to keep it going in the 2nd. ASU is pretty good at making adjustments, it's not time to sit on a lead yet.

He progressing, which is great. Still gotta order on finding the mesh route and also delivering on time. The latter is all mechanics.
Cougs playing with house money? I think all of us know what can happen in a second half (see Utah last year, UCLA a couple of years ago, etc.) but I am so far extremely impressed with the effort and energy level. Also love the balance on offense and deLaura has been very impressive minus the one shovel pass. That defense is really fired up and causing those turnovers. Biggest point in the game so far was keeping ASU off the scoreboard after the shovel pass interception. WSU will need to score at least a couple of TDs in the second half and continue the inspired play on defense.

Last time at ASU I believe they lost 38-34 . Time for the Cougs to get that 38 and make ASU take chances.

Making me nervous already. 3 or 4 & out isn't going to get it done. Need to put them down another score and make them tear up the game plan. At the very least our possessions need to burn minutes off them clock...the D isn't going to keep them down forever.

My PTSD dates from long before 2019 UCLA. That certainly caused a relapse though.
