Here is a good article by Eric Johnson of Komo

Not a fan of Johnson's journalistic style. We all know we would have done the same had we been in the position that UW was.

Funny how they followed along with their hated rival (Oregon). They were going nowhere until Phil pulled the strings to make it happen.

Arizona State President Dr. Michael Crow described it this way, "we were offered a media contract by the Apple corporation that was really a technological, 23rd-century Star Trek thing of really unbelievable capability that we were really very interested in."

He better have been referring to Ana de Armas coming out of your TV and giving you a... "foot" massage while you're watching the game and not simply streaming programming. But I have a feeling he wasn't.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is who is driving decisions. Only when the cool kids decide, or the legacy model is simply not sustainable any longer, will the old ass idiots realize that streaming is already here and its not the "23rd century Star Trek" technology that they all think it is.

Geezus.

Sorry, I was distracted by the idea of Ana de Armas coming out of my TV. I don't care what game I was watching, I'm no longer interested in it.

I think you’re somewhat correct but I also have a feeling Apple has made some out of the box upgrades that will make it a new and better experience. Now if we could just get the right schools to rebuild the PAC we’ll see if I’m right.

They do, actually, but it won't catch on because a) its apple and its going to be WAY overpriced for the average consumer and b) fringe tech never really becomes main stream.

I found another article that said it would be a VR style viewing experience allowing the consumer to watch the game "from the front row as if they were there."

MKBHD got a sneak peek of it, but Apple hasn't fully released the tech so no one really knows what it is yet, but here's a link to give you an idea.
