Probably. Toni Pole did not play based on the WSU participation report. It sure seems like we need a 3-deep on the DL but we really only have a 1.5-deep.

Our DL is solid as a rock... for the first quarter. They were impressive today. Then mid way through the 2nd they disappear for the rest of the game. That has been the pattern all season. Fat and out of shape sums them up. They play like their coach, Joe did. He was a world beater early on in games at UA, then disappeared also, Tedy Bruschi, DD Acholonu he was not.

It didn't help that our offense put them back out on the field literally 5 times.

Not saying they had 5 full, extra possessions to defend, but maybe 3-4 extra. That makes a BIG difference; it's essentially like asking them to play the equivalent of 5+ quarters of football.

ASU ran 32 in the second half, and only had the ball for 13:51 in the second half. I guess heat could have been an issue. But it's not like ASU wore us down with long sustained drives or anything like that. More like just going buns up after the turnovers.

Heat was not an issue. It never even warmed up to 75 by the end of the game.
