Isaiah Love

Good thing we have 4 JC DB's enrolled this spring. These players were actually recruited by the current defensive coordinator. Seems to me the player exodus is more about not figuring into Claeys plans than anything else.
My guess is Daniel Isom is the starter opposite Marcus Strong. Plenty of guys to fight for the two deep, too.

Armauni Archie is another CB that is in the mix. Comparing the additions to the subtractions (Singleton, Love, the Eugene guy), this is just more of the same in the Leach era: he and his staff bring in better prospects who often chase others down the road. You see the same thing at places such as Alabama although that's on a higher scale. Besides, did Singleton ever play a down at corner? Maybe he did. I just don't recall him on an island. And Love never played or hardly played at all.

Is that 3 scholarships opened up on the defensive side of the ball now?

Might as well fill them. Hit the transfer portal or make some calls to see who is out there still.

Omg, he's not going to start as a sophomore!

Seriously, wth is with these kids and their inability to stick anything out?

That being said, it is possible that TC told him he's never going to see the field and he'd be better off elsewhere.

Honestly, he probably wasn't going to be in the two deep as a senior either so it probably is best for him to move on. Basically this is a non-story. Love was an early enrollee two springs ago and wasn't able to see the field even with Harper hurt last year. I suspect, even if he was a back up to one of the starters, there was a huge drop off between him and George Hicks.

However, Clickbait.com decided to make this a front page story and pretended we have no depth at CB while choosing to ignore the three JC corners Claeys brought in this spring. The decision of Isaiah Love to take off doesn't bother me in the slightest because our corner play next year has always hinged on the adjustments made by Isom, Moore, and Langford.

With other guys in front of him, and a bunch of JC guys coming in, hard to blame him.

CB is one of those positions where if you’ve got it, you play early. Corners, even at blue blood programs, often come in and start in their first 2 seasons.

This is what I dont understand... Where are you gonna go in March??? If you left today what school can you show up at Monday morning and be enrolled and practicing???

You are better off practicing, training, going to class, using the tutors and the training table, getting as right as you can with your gpa and showing the coaches youre a competitor on the field. At the end of spring ball it looks like it isnt gonna break your way, have an honest evaluation with your position coach about your future. Odds are good someone on the coaching staff has a coaching friend looking for a player at another school. Maybe they know a staff running a scheme that fits your talents better. Use WSU and its program to get you into the best position you can be in. Part ways as gentlemen. Leave WSU ready to land somewhere else running.

Rolling out the door now doesnt help you. Youre forfeiting a spring practice season that every young ball player needs.

Midnight maneuvers.
Last night was the last one, correct? Not exactly sure what they do during MM (more conditioning? Drills? Skels? no clue) but this could be an indication of how good our WR corp is, as well.

E-Town ... I haven’t been to click bait but what is “depth” to you ? I am not sure bodies with zero Pac 12 experience is called depth ... yet .

Bringing in 3 JC corners this year spoke volumes about the current depth that Claeys and Co felt they had in the program.

Also, outside of injury, it really didn't seem like they felt very comfortable about rotating the young kids in despite having 2 senior corners at the start of the season.

This sentence was important.

They didnt sign 4 Juco DBs cause they were loaded in the backfield. There is an issue with talent and depth if youre taking that many guys in a position group.
