JC safety just committed

A couple more prospects to keep an eye on:

Just decommitted from Colorado, he's on our radar:

We need to land Chapman and another cb in this class. Just looked on the roster and noticed that #31 Green-Richards is not on there anymore. Awfully thin at CB right now for next year. No wonder we wanted a couple of Juco cb. I wonder if Deion Singleton might get moved back to cb in the spring.

Wow. I swear I saw him on the sideline during the Arizona game.

Wasn't he the dude that got hit by the left handed sideline Minshew spike??? That was just a couple weeks ago. Weird.

After watching the Spring game before GM was brought in, I watched and thought that day, ' Tinsley looks the part and can definitely run the Air Raid and win'. I still think that. But I am glad GM came along! I hope Tinsley gets his chance next year..... I guess we'll see. I don't however, think we'll see another Grad. Transfer light it up like GM has.... it's like catching lightening in a bottle. It rarely happens.... otherwise there would be 'feel good stories' all over CF and that hasn't happened.

I don't see us taking 7 DB's this year. We've already got 5. Isom, Langsford, Beekman, Archie, and Grisso. And the roster has 4 returners at corner even with MGR leaving. I think we have plenty of depth, especially if we land Chapman (who has lockdown cover corner written all over him).

Fact is we only have 25 spots each year and we have other needs to fill with the remaining 4 spots. Need another OL, WR, RB and that only leaves one more spot for a DB.

Here's my thing about the QB position. None of us have any real feel for whom is going to take the reins. By all indications, isn't it Tinsley that's been coming in at garbage time? Wouldn't that be our only real indication?
Actually he and Gordon have split the garbage time snaps. Gordon finished off the game vs. Colorado and Tinsley came in vs. Arizona. Both have appeared in 4 games although Tinsley has probably logged more minutes. So much can happen between now and next fall. I wouldn't want to place any bets on any of these guys, but my hunch is next year's QB is currently on the roster. That's really not a very bold prediction, I guess.

Glad Cougar

Cooper is poised to take over too and he’s been running the Air Raid since middle school. Why shouldn’t 9 wins be the expectation next year?

I've learned my lesson about underestimating this program (I thought we'd win half our games this season). Yes, nine is certainly doable.
