the defense comes alive, Iregbou, Railey and "Q" resurface, and the Cougs put together enough good plays to hang with Stanford until the end, finally coming out on top thanks to some good clutch plays by Lacy. Kent earned his salary shuffling players in and out during this one due to foul problems.

I just don't get it ...

The last 4 games we have had tons of great shots, but we were missed 80% of them, This game, far fewer good shots, Stanford played tough defense, contested far more shots, and we came alive. Is the moral of the Cougar story, pass up the wide open shot, for one we don't have time to think so much on?

I wasn't sure they would make it to 10 wins, or four conference wins.

The turnaround occurred in the first half when Que Johnson went on a tear in, I believe, a 10-0 run, which included two slams and a 3-pointer. Lacy contributed more than a few in the second half to sustain the effort, but it wasn't sealed until Ike Iroegbu and Ny Redding nailed four FTs down the stretch to seal what is a huge win for this program.
This team, with some luck, could finish at .500 in the Pac-12, but we've already exceeded our conference wins from a year ago under Bone.

This isn't a good team but Que is the 'X factor' for this team. He has a lot of talent and when he's on and focused makes them so much more difficult to guard.

Ike and Itoegbu are also good story. They become so much more balanced of a team and I wish Railey had another year.

Disagree this a good team. They are overachieving due to good coaching with Kent motivating them. They beat a good Stanford team in a hotly contested game. What more can one ask for after the lack luster prior years? They will win some more games and hopefully do well in the Tournament. I would like to see a NIT bid but it is a young team and they may still have ups and downs,We shall see . As i said Kent has awaken a moribund program with a young team which is playing well. Even in the Cal game it came down to the last few minutes. Give Kent his due folks.

Gee you finally start a player who should have been starting and good things happen....amazing...some players need to start and some can come off the bench...some can't.

Que is a talent but needs to play much better defense. Nice team effort.

Kent is showing that he is a great motivator and he made great moves in juggling his players. Redding is the only true PG who is getting playing time.Johnson and Ike are much better at other positions. It has long been said that Johnson has talent but he does not always use it. Starting him was a great move but at crunch time one needs a PG in the game. One has to understand the nuances of basketball but Kent is earning his money. He has taken a bunch of unmotivated ,dispirited ball players and is molding a team out of spare parts so to speak. This team does not resemble in any shape or form the disaster that took the court last year.

He's probably has more upside than anyone in the program but he does need to with more effort and energy. The bench was Kent's method of getting more out of him.
