Maybe he wanted to stay in Florida and doesn't need a higher paying gig right now. Don't we need a DC with a 4 year commitment? The perfect candidate is someone who has built their program over 4-6 years and is looking for a Pac 12 opportunity. If they can do it at WSU over 4 years....a lot of our competitors and others are going to want their services.

Willie hired him at UO, so there's some history there. I'm okay with targeting someone else. I don't know if hiring an ex-head coach as a coordinator necessarily works out for Leach. At least it didn't in the case of Claeys.

and Leavitt is old and hes got a house in Fla, pretty laid back small job to retire in peace.

Leavitt's mother is also in Florida and I would have to believe that was part of his decision to stay local...that and his prior working relationship with Taggart.

Many have said this, but I bet there's a DC already in the fold and just waiting to complete our bowl game...Todd Orlando is my gut guess.
