Won’t be playing because he is preparing for the NFL draft. I’m sorry but some players need to show more to get drafted. If it was me I would be showing myself because I’m sure scouts will be watching. I guess being on the side lines is a better showing. Who is advising these kids seriously. I get you may get hurt but that’s part of the game.

Dude ain't playing in the NFL. Sorry - this is a major cop out.

Is Tracy Ford or Eric Dickerson advising these guys?

I just took a quick look at NFL draft rankings and he is not showing up on any lists as a viable prospect. Liam peaked in 2019 when he showed up at the Pac-12 media day with a glorious multi-hued mullet. It's been all down hill from there. He's way too slow for the NFL from what I've seen.

This just sets a horrific precedent all around.

What's next? High school early commits opting out of playing in their state tournaments for fear of injury?

Really flies in the face of the spirit of competition and teamwork and being part of something bigger than yourself. These kids need truth tellers in their lives.

Pinning decisions on a less than 2% chance of making it to the league is just bad math, selfish and stupid. 2% chance multiplied by (maybe) a 20% chance of getting injured? So tossing away a legacy and relationship with an institution is worth a 0.4% chance of making it to the NFL. That's just dumb.

Minshew didn't punt his teammates and he's leveraged that into a pretty nice paycheck.

You actually believe that his entire relationship with WSU will be tossed because of this? Overreact much?

Ryan isn't an NFL player,. That might just be a cover for something else. From what I heard is he's been playing hurt for awhile. He gave a lot to Wazzu and was a major leader with this squad when all hell was breaking loose so I appreciate him for that.

Maybe we'll pull a Minnesota who had their entire team pretty much suspended and win with a bunch of reserves.

It's good for the younger kids to get game reps, also, it's good for them to get game reps against the athletes Miami has. There will be a lot of teachable moments from this and that is how you prepare to get better.

In the end it's the Sun Bowl, not the Rose Bowl. If we ever make it back to the Rose Bowl and players start sitting out for that than I'll be annoyed. Sun Bowl? Meh. I think we didn't see this in 2018 because we were going for our first 11 win season in school history.

When you are a marginal NFL player at best this plants a red flag you can’t afford to have on your resume. Your best bet if you are in Liam’s position is to get as much game film as possible of you pancaking defensive players. What’s he going to do with this extra preparation, shave his 40 time from 5.6 to 5.5?

Imagine being such a pussy that you are scared of vaccine that can help end the pandemic.

The vaccine isn't going to end the pandemic. That is an unattainable goal. It was like Inslee's dumbass metrics of 50 cases per 100K to fully reopen schools. It's a respiratory virus. It will be passed to people. Look at the NFL, the Rams and Browns are having an outbreak among the vaccinated. The vaccine is to mitigate systems. We are going to have variants of Covid 19 until the end of time.

Highly vaccinated countries are having outbreaks. Eventually the world will have to learn to live with Covid 19. It won't be eradicated, just like the flu isn't eradicated. We have vaccines to help combat it, but to think that a vaccine will magically end a virus that continues to mutate is irrational.

I remember years before Covid I went in for a flu shot and the doctor said "they feel pretty confident that this will be highly effective against a lot of strains of the flu." But they didn't tell me that it won't prevent me from getting the flue. When are we going to start taking that approach to Covid 19?

Bingo!

You do understand that pandemics ending and the virus remaining are two completely different things, right?

Depends on the individual & circumstances of how they left.

Mike Price had no shot at getting his job back in November 2007.
Kelvin Sampson in NBA assistant purgatory when Bone was fired also had no shot of coming back either.

Taylor Rapp bailing on the UW's Rose Bowl game with tOSU with a last minute "injury" hasn't endeared him with the UW.

You act as if we have a brotherhood of alumni players who are always around, when in reality its the same half dozen or so guys every single year.

Go ahead and defend that with something other than all the feelings.

Statistics are a good place to start.
LOL - keep swinging sport. You are regurgitating pure bullshit and you made the original assertion. Prove it or shut the **** up.

You're the one that said "Imagine being such a pussy that you are afraid of a vaccine that will end the pandemic." What are you saying here, then? How does the pandemic end?

I took it as the rheteric you hear, get boostered and this all will be over. Well, here it is December 2021 and we have more cases than ever. I guess those are all the nonboostered and unvaccinated?

Before you start calling me whatever you want to call me, for the record I'm vaccinated and boostered, so find another way insult for me.

So let's see what the younger talent can do.
It will be a great experience for the O-line and puts them ahead of schedule for the spring football. This looks like the new reality for many teams unless they are in the playoff.
Yet another reason to expand the playoff.

Wow...will this mystery person feel better after we apologize? Can I send a card somewhere? It didn't surprise me his or her information is correct. But if this person feels shorted I will apologize for something I didn't question if it will brighten their day.

Bingo...like coach Norman Dale did in Hoosiers..."my team is on the court". We can't worry about who is not there, but can praise the kids who are there.
