I am hoping this will self correct when fans stop going to the bowl games
It will stop when there aren't bowl games any longer. Bowl games aren't going to continue where the prime players aren't playing and the fans aren't going. We will be down to 8 games, a 16 game playoff.

Provide a link to anything that states that being vaccinated reduces transmission. It's not on CDC, it's not on WHO, Fauci hasn't said it (recently).
He can't because he's tuh tuh tuh tuh tuh tuh too stupid. His arrogance and ego about this topic will start to be the butt of jokes soon based on all the information that's out there.

I think that bowl games will continue for a while. ESPN knows that they can't rely on the average fan to be watching a playoff game that doesn't feature a team that has some relevance to them (their team, conference opponent, etc.). Once you get to the time that is currently the regular bowl schedule, they have a lot of time that isn't obligated to anything and there's no reason that they won't have bowl games. Hell, the NIT still exists even though there isn't really any interest except to fans of the participating schools.

Based on the number of college players making it in the league, Liam Ryan has a statistically better probability of making the NFL than either of us dying from COVID.

Than ANY of us dying from Covid.

Ahhh...I sure hope you have this same passion for woman's rights and also the vaccine mandates kids have to have to go to public schools. Otherwise it is a smidge intellectually dishonest.

It is not my place to vaccinate or not vaccinate your kids based on whatever beliefs you may or may not have. It is also not for the state to decide what to put in your or my kids.

It is not my place to determine what a woman does with HER body, especially if I have no skin/semen in the game. That is up to her, her baby daddy and her higher power. The same holds true as to the state's intervention into her body or privacy.

I am totally passionate about individuals making their own informed decisions on how best to conduct their lives based on their own values, conscience and liberty.

That is anything BUT being intellectually dishonest. It is consistently consistent.

You want someone like 96 telling YOU how to live your life? God have mercy on your soul.

I tried to warn you all. Abe will be next.
Warn us about Abe not playing? And the warning does what? Preps us for the news? I look at it like he is injured. You have to play with the people who want to be here. Our program will survive long after Abe, Liam, Beresford, Jack Thompson, Ryan Leaf , Gesser and any other name you can think of. Not sure if the NFL will look at fringe and not so fringe players and say "you chose not to play your last game, get more play on tape, and most importantly doing battle with your teammates.". Yeah it works for 1st and second rounders maybe, but it is not an asset for kids getting drafting lower. Look at the lack of success Clowney had in the NFL. It was always about him first. He has come close to living up to his hype.

It is intellectually dishonest because you have never protested the vaccine mandates that are already on the books.

It may not be your place to tell me to get vaxed or not, but it is your responsibility not to put me and others at risk. I don't live scared and you continue to bring that up. But I do respect those who may. I was in Pullman on dad's weekend. We were to have the woman who is designing the remodel coming over two days after we got back. I called her told her I was in Pullman, and that I was around people I didn't know their vax status. That I would go get a covid test, but I offered up we could postpone 10 days. The woman was so appreciative, as her husband has cancer, which I did not know about.

I was in the close quarter of a 64 year old man in Chelan, didn't know his vax status but everyone else invited to the party was vaxed. One of the party goers was in his final sessions of his chemo. No one knew he had cancer. The 64 year old didn't have the courtesy to tell people before he got there he wasn't vaxed.

You're the one that said "Imagine being such a pussy that you are afraid of a vaccine that will end the pandemic." What are you saying here, then? How does the pandemic end?

I took it as the rheteric you hear, get boostered and this all will be over. Well, here it is December 2021 and we have more cases than ever. I guess those are all the nonboostered and unvaccinated?

Before you start calling me whatever you want to call me, for the record I'm vaccinated and boostered, so find another way insult for me.
The spanish flu pandemic ended. The flu is still a thing.

Hope this helps.

No. Don't plan to.

You aren't my authoritarian governor.

Go ahead and live in fear.

This is such a lazy facebook response. Getting a vaccine against a dangerous pathogen is not "living in fear" anymore than wearing a seatbelt in a car is.

How insecure are you? Pathetic.

I agree, but mandating all of society does to calm your nerves IS.

I don’t really want to get in this cesspool but he said the vaccine “can help end” the pandemic, not will end.
pS - 3 people I know or am associated with died of Covid within the last 3 weeks. All under 60 and one under 50 with 11 kids.

welcome, the water is warm.

Were they vaccinated? Did they catch it from a vaccinated person?

Go ahead and link a non-lazy response about how vaccinated people aren't transmitting the virus then.

Or keep on keeping on with "the" rage.

As in 'the' science.

I'm sorry for your loss.

What kind of treatment protocol and alternatives were they provided prior to entering the hospital, if any?

Why would I come on a Cougar message board at some time in the past and 'protest' something that wasn't a discussion point? My position has always been consistent since this has become a topic of discussion. Haven't deviated from day one.

Anyone that refuses vaccination should be refused help at the hospital and instead get medical treatment from the experts who told them not to vaccinate.

Well, that is one "truth" to believe. Thanks for playing.
yeah man all those dead people are just fake news.

If the goal is to reduce deaths, vaccines are not the be all, end all. For zealots such as yourself, I know that is hard to fathom.

No one is contending covid can kill people and or can make people very sick, nice straw man. What people are fed up with is the one-size-fits-all approach of vaccines for all while at the same time, intentionally ignoring and suppressing in-home (pre-hospital) treatments that reduce symptoms and risk of death. These treatments use FDA approved drugs and other EUA drugs (not mRNA dependent) to accomplish this, without the use of mRNA. At any rate, good on you for being vaccinated, I hope you have gained comfort thinking you are protected.

So basically you have unfounded conspiracy BS and nothing more. Joe Rogan might touch you now.

do you really think they would all still be dead if they didn't have covid? good lord you are stupid.
Son, lots of people who died from other causes had covid in their system when they died. They in turn were counted as a covid death even though covid had nothing to do with their passing. THAT is a fact.
So to answer your question...no.
Hth... I really do!

11 …sometimes actions speak louder than words .

If they move to a 32 team playoff, bigger SWAG packages including a nice check would help mitigate this issue.

Hell, they could do that now. What does the Sun Bowl payout? $4.5M? Limit rosters to 60 players and pay them each $10K and/or offer diamond studded Rolex watches to the winners. Put some damn skin in the game.

I have to say that I'm impressed that y'all are still arguing with each other about COVID. I made a decision about a month ago to quit trying to convince folks on here that they should change their viewpoint.

I wish I would have done that sooner. This board will be better when the last stragglers realize the same thing.

Substack? Really? Why not just link a Wikipedia page?!
She is a well-regarded Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Her references are linked in the article.

If you’ve drunk the Q koolaid, respected actual scientists with actual PhDs in epidemiology are probably not going to move your needle. Not my problem.

I have no intention of changing anyone's viewpoint. People should be able to make their own choices when it comes to health. It's none of my business on how they choose to treat their bodies or what they put into them.

And it's none of their business on how I treat mine. Especially someone like Jay Insleee.

Yes, there are people who died with Covid, where it wasn't the true proximate cause of death. But there is the actuarial concept of "excess mortality." There were 470,000 excess deaths in the USA over what was projected in 2020 - 352,000 were considered Covid "confirmed" deaths, of which you are dubious, but they don't have a reasonable explanation for the most of the other 118,000, other than under reported Covid related deaths. When you consider that for profit medicine and poverty don't generally mix, the actuarial science industry attribute most of the unexplained 118,000 to untreated/undiagnosed Covid, for risk assessment purposes.

Keep an open mind!
