A lot happened. We lost our opponent due to Covid protocols. Central Michigan lost theirs too, and they were right down the road. Their bowl ended up canceled and we were matched with them on a few days notice.
Meanwhile, our QB made a stop in Tucson to finalize his deal with UA on his way to the game, showed up and went on the field in the first half but I can’t say he played. Pretty much shat down his leg for 30 minutes and then decided he was done. Third stringer whose name I can’t remember came out for the 2nd half and easily outplayed our starter, managed a couple scores, and we got our asses handed to us by a team we should have run circles around.
Similar things have happened in our other games since the portal and opt-outs have become a thing.
