Devante Cooper a 6 11 240 out of Tyler Jr College verbally commits. He averaged 18.4 pts,11/3 rbs and 2,7 blks/ He is the teammate of fellow coug commit Hinson . The tapes are sketchy and it seems like he is mobile and can run the court well.. WSU beat out Oregon St,Olk St and Purdue for his services. It is hard to evaluate him based on the tapes

He had offers from Oregon State, Oklahoma State, and Purdue so that's definitely a plus. Unless something has changed Texas JCs are competitive. Looks like he plays mostly below the rim from the brandx highlights but a lot of shooting highlights out to 3 and some defensive highlights.

Looks like a step up at least on paper.

Yeah i saw that. However the 11.3 rbs and 2.7 blks indicate that he can get off the floor. There is a short write up on brand X .He states that he is"light on his feet". Usually an gravity challenged basketball players will not make that claim.

Where does the 11.3/2.7 blocks come from? Is that this year at Tyler or prep/high school? The hops or lack of hops doesn't bother me too much. Maybe a decent weight programs helps. A bit of a hitch in his shot but again, the offers stand out for him.

The stats are from a recruiting service. it looks like it is over a 12 game span.possibly in juco ball? Played at Bradley and left their program and saw limited action as a frosh.It looks like he has grown an inch and put on 30 good pounds since then. There a couple of turds on brand x who consider themselves basketball experts and badmouth any recruit,Kent brings in. The nerds on brand x protect them and any post questioning their judgement and motives just do not get posted. Very strange unless the turds are the moderators of brand x??
