Massachusetts governor Charlie Baker will be the next president of the NCAA, the organization announced Thursday.

Baker will take over the organization effective March 1. He succeeds Mark Emmert, who assumed his position in 2010.

Came up through the medical field on the management side, got into politics around 2000, elected gov in 2014 no management experience in college or sports.

Won't be looking to him for any quick fixes with the Protal or NIL.

Nice bump in income, he was making $185,000 as governor. Emmert was paid 2.99 million last year. And we could ask, for what?
