Leach is stale, lost a step, forgot how to coach or just spent too much time vacationing.

If you can only muster 21 against a Mountain West team... you are not a guru or genius.

Anyone who knows this offense knows that AG calls the runs.

Borghi got 6 carries for 27 yards.

Thats not Leachs fault.

Bell caught 2 big passes in the 1st quater and never saw the ball again, because AG found his favorite target and stopped distributing the ball.

AG got stymied by a MW defense that rushed at the most 5. The O Line several times did their best matador impression and just watched guys run by.

There are plenty of things to bitch at Leach about, his proven scheme isnt ise of them.

Why dont you go over to the OU board and tell them how shitty their offensive scheme is.

Or missed on too many recruits and lost too many assistant coaches.

How is it not Leach’s fault if his qb calls bad plays?

If the qb stops distributing the ball, how is it not Leach’s fault?

If the OL cant block, how is it not Leach’s fault?

His proven scheme scored 13 against the uw and 21 tonight against a school with lesser athletes.

What was proven is that his offense needs to evolve because it can be shut down by a Mountain West team.

Who’s coming to Pullman? Name your list. I’m cool with firing Leach but who’s coming? We arent paying $4M. But if we did, what coach? What coach are getting that will come to Pullman? I can only think of one who likes challenges and can win here more than and that’s Matt Rhuel. After that I can’t think of anyone that we’d have a legit shot at.

He doesn't have a list because there is no such list. In Biggs's world, WSU isn't an historically bad football program and should have no problem finding a good coach

Leach is not going anywhere. Who would hire him after last night? Leach started to believe that he could hire drinking buddies and name whomever he wanted as his starting QB . He made bad decisions both in hires and in naming his QB s. I see a couple of coaches who will leave who should not t and a few who will stay when they should be fired Leach thought that he could just plug in people and his system would do the rest. He should shake things up or just resign if he cannot find the competitive fire, This has to be embarrassing for him

Urban Meyer pays WSU to coach, not the other way around.

Did you copy and paste this post from when Turd was coaching?

They are going to pay $4,000,000. Theyve pushed tens of millions into facilities. They arent going backwards.

The days of WSU paying $600,000 and going with the coach that will agree to work for the least amount of $ are over.

Leach has shown you can win at WSU. Price has shown you can go to Rose Bowls at WSU. This idea that WSU doesnt have anything going for it is crap. The idea that no one worth a damn will come while paying this much money is total crap.

Rhule isnt coming. I live two hours from Baylor. He has had the NFL come after him the past couple years.

But since you want a list...
Jeff Tedford - who knows how his health is, but he can coach.
Any of Leach’s coaching tree.
Jim McIlwain - will he go back to BCS football?
Matt Campbell - wanna talk to him.
Beau Baldwin - not hot on another Big Sky coach but at least get him in an interview and give him the chance to wow you.
Charlie Strong - I wanna talk to him.
Derek Mason - I wanna talk to him too.
Jay Hill - Cleaned up a mess at Weber State. He is gonna get his shot soon enough.

That’s just a few guys off the top of my head. The market has changed since WSU was looking for a HC. These P5 head jobs are in high demand. They pay millions of dollars. You will see guys come out of the woodwork for the WSU job. Names you never thought you would head linked to WSU.

Don't discount WSU. Leach shows up at noon, vacations for months out of the year, doesn't have anywhere near the scrutiny from the media, has a fan base that doesn't pressure him, has a school admin that doesnt pressure him, has brand new football ops building.... makes $4,000,000 per year.

And you think there won’t be a line of coaches? Really?

I wouldn’t say Air Force stymied our offense last night. They played keep away and controlled the ball 2/3 of the game.

Charlie Strong? He just got fired from USF
Derek Mason? He’s never had a winning season at Vandy and is 20 games under .500
Matt Campbell isn’t going to Pullman, that’s a pipe dream.
Jim McElwain maybe as long as he leaves Akey in Michigan
Any Big Sky coaches can cut their teeth at a MWC.

None of those coaches are an upgrade over Leach right now, except for maybe Campbell who Leach beat. Mason and Strong? Really? I’m glad you’re not our AD.

If Chun can hire Matt Rhule then you fire Leach.

Is Chun working for a NFL team? Than your idea for Rhule wont work.

So your list, of 1 name which you so bravely out forth, sucks.

Leach won 3 league games this year. His offense couldnt score more than 21 against a Mtn West team.

He isnt trending upwards. You act like he is a guru. He is not.

Yup. Air Raid wasn't the problem. Can't score if you don't have the ball.

AF can put teams in a position where they need to score every drive. Maybe going for it on 4th down instead of a FG hurt?

Conversely, an AR team that scores on every drive can push a triple option team into a similar scenario.

Any AR team that is well coached makes quick work of Mtn West DBs at a service academy. Leach sucked last night. Defending his offense that couldnt produce for shit is stupid.

Yup. Air Raid wasn't the problem. Can't score if you don't have the ball.
what are you talking about? The offense was shitty last night. Yeah the defense got bludgeoned to death, but you’re ok w scoring on 33% of drives against that defense?

it was a team loss, everyone sucked.

He is the same as he has always been. An arrogant one trick pony. The problem is most are figuring out his trick. He doesn’t have the intelligence to change.

Special teams didn't suck. I actually liked the fake return by Harris with Winston taking it up the left sideline.

Derek Mason went 3-9, won one league game, lost to UNLV and wait for it....scored 10 points on them. And you’re calling that dude to replace Leach?

Charlie Strong went from 10-2 to 7-6 to 4-8 and fired are USF and you’re calling that dude?

I mean who can take you serious when you’re campaigning to fire a coach and replacing him with a dude who has never had a winning season and for a dude that just got fired from USF?

I thought of Harrell but rumor is he hates Pullman and would be gone in a second or he’d rather stay an OC until another job opened. I don’t think Wazzu isnt as attractable as you want think it is. Jeff Choate would be a guy I’d look at. Hill is interesting, but none are a sure upgrade over Leach. And then you hire a coach that runs a completely different offense and we have an Air Roster. Firing Leach and isn’t poof Conference champs there will be growing pains with whoever we hire. As much as I like Campbell that dude has lost at least 5 games a year and then have been on the wrong end a lot of close games similar to Leach, Price and Doba.

Honestly did you even watch the game? The D played more than good enough for a chance to win. The O was 100% of the problem.

Im not campaigning to fire him. You are making up fake news.

My list was of people I would want to speak with. Each of them has something of interest.

So lets see your list of 6-8 coaches. Rhule isnt coming, so he doesnt count towards it.

Leach isnt always going to coach at WSU. This idea that WSU is lost without him, that no one else is capable except Leach, that he alone is the only one that can fix WSU... is crap.

WSU is in a lot better place than half the PAC 12. Why do you keep running down WSU? Are you really a fan? You dont seem to think much of Pullman.

Honestly did you even watch the game? The D played more than good enough for a chance to win. The O was 100% of the problem.

I have advocated for the defense in past games. I felt like there were multiple times this season when they played well enough to win the game even while looking poor.

I think the question is... what is a reasonable amount of points to expect from the offense? Meaning, if the defense holds a team to X points or less, it is on the offense if they dont score more.

IMO, WSU has much better talent on offense than the AF defense. WSU should have scored easily. The passing game has much better athletes than AF. I thought 21 was a low output.

For the sake of argument, what is the number of points that should be expected from the WSU offense in a game like this?

I’m realistic fan that knows Wazzu has limits. We have the smallest budget, we’re in the middle of nowhere, while it’s dope, it’s tough and expensive to get to, there isn’t a lot surrounding it, and the facilities are just OK compared to other schools.

You want a list?

Bare minimum they should have scored 35. Even with limited opportunities that defense should not have been able to slow down the strength of this team. That was an awful offensive performance. The defensive scheme was atrocious and can’t be ignored, but the offense was bad.

Todd Graham. Wow.

You really gonna take one of the names I listed as your own?

Barry Odom? How is he better than Strong or Mason?

I would hire Choate as a DC before HC.

If that is the case then the defense played well enough to win again.

Not an offensive guru or genius.

I mean you’re champing for a dude who has never had a winning record and is 20 games under .500. Odom is Urban Meyer compared to Mason.

Graham has won at 4 schools, Rice being one of them. He won 10+ games 3 times at Tulsa. If we’re going the retread route then I’ll take him over Strong and Mason

And Wazzu would be wise to see if Choate wants a million to run a defense and then parlay that into a bigger head coaching job.

Brennen at SJSU is the most interesting one to me. He got them to 5-7 this year. Interested to see what happens the next few years with him there.

Honestly did you even watch the game? The D played more than good enough for a chance to win. The O was 100% of the problem.

The D played well enough to win? AF possessed the ball for 43 minutes. I would be shocked if a team ever won a game possessing the ball less than 30% of the clock.

Brennen has won 8 games in 3 seasons. If this is a guy you think is good then your opinion on anyone else with a losing record means nothing.

I think if it were a conference game, Leach would have taken the FGs and we end up with 27. Certainly nothing to write home about, but how much can you really expect a team to score in 16 minutes?

The offense was not good last night but to say it was 100% of the problem and, by definition, the defense was 0% of the problem, is ludicrous.

I think it was a failure of the offense to play to its ability and a failure by the defensive staff to move their players around the chess board.

I dont think it was 100% on the defense. The offense has to come up with more than 21 points. Failing to exploit their advantage on offense was, well, a failure.

You are conveniently leaving out the fact that one reason they had the ball only 16 minutes was because they couldn't move the ball. Or score.

Your argument is crap. As usual.
