Don't recall anyone hating Tuel. Think some are conflating loathing the situation at the time, and excuses for the 2011 season not panning out based on his injury, with "hating" him, and confusing pushback on aggrandization of his abilities with "hating" the guy. He was a good college QB who was one of the few bright spots in a rough time.

And it should be remembered that his coach hyped him greatly, which did not do Tuel any favors. Wulff said something like he wasn't sure that Andrew Luck was the best QB in the league.
