OK, SDSU and SMU

C'mon Choppy. You pose the most ridiculous questions. WSU will never get anywhere close to 65K.

Fleshing out the east end zone and getting to 40K (which was actually about the capacity when we still had the east end zone bleachers and the West side bleachers that got wiped out because of the FOB) is what we need to shoot for.

Apparently OSU's renovation will bring their capacity down to 34-39K.

Stanford's stadium now only holds 50K

And most of the time, it is empty.

Still curious from where all this massive demand for Cougar football tickets is exploding. Are all those crossing the southern border illegally yelling "Go Cougs" as enter the US?

In real world, I'd laugh hysterically at any sales guy who presents a 50% forecast increase without a significant plan on how to get there.

So far, there's nothing other than "its just an excuse WSU doesn't draw 50K".

Build it and they will come isn't a plan. It's a line from a movie.

I mean this in the most respectful way, but anyone who thinks that WSU is ever going to have a 65k seat stadium shouldn't be left alone with toothpaste. Frankly, it borders on impossible to imagine WSU needing 50,000 seats.

If I were king, I'd finish the IPF, tear down the Fieldhouse, put a legitimately good upper deck over the north sideline and build a smaller building in the location of the fieldhouse to support the track and provide a venue for pre-game activities. Get us to around 43,000 seats and call it a day.

Kansas, with 130k alumns, and a 2.4m metro area within 40 miles of their stadium, and with four sellouts last season, is making a 350m renovation to their beat up old wreck of a stadium. It seats 51k now, and has since Gale Sayers and John Riggins played. The renovated stadium will seat around 45k to 50k, with room to expand if they need to. The under 35 crowd is different. Attendance is down, for nine years running, in every conference. There is no indication that will change. Of course Allen Fieldhouse, where the Jayhawks play basketball, is a whole different story. You can't get in the place most games.

Crazy all these schools spending this much money and reducing their stadium capacities. Someone point their admins to this thread so they can learn that adding a shit-ton of empty seats will attract the best recruits and propel them to football greatness!

Hmm…there’s one poster on here who has explicit details from all his internet searches about said rape…you seem a little obsessed with the subject, you got something you want to share?

the footing for an upper deck were poured several years ao, before the plan changed to the other side for the luxury suites. they were going on the north side originally.
I don't recall ever hearing that. Got any way to confirm that?

Are you sure that you are not confusing the location of footings poured for future expansion with the work done in the east end zone?

This reply is really for Biggs, who I think has me on ignore.

First, I went back to the thread that started this whole shit-erree. You didn't really say anything other than "it's no big deal".

Second, I pulled the most detailed article about the incident that I could find. Link below. Couple of takeaways. First, it happened in 2018. Why didn't this girl go immediately to the cops instead of waiting 3 years to take legal action? Second, why the F would you go alone to some stairwell to meet two FB players? Third, it says they "forced sex acts on her". What does that mean? Did they actually stick their wicks in? I think yes, Hawaii law defines second degree as involving penetration.

So de Laura is a POS, and if he was crossing the street I would run him over. Both AZ and Wisconsin (where the other guy went) are not doing anything about it.

So, Biggsy, how about you give it a rest and move on? Maybe start a football related thread?

She went immediately to the police and their form of justice was having the perps write apology letters. And that was that. Welcome to Hawaii?

A. Biggs thinks it validates his points by calling people names and threatening them. He also thinks he’s smarter than the coaches even though they wouldn’t hire him to be a junior GA.

B. I stay away from personal opinions on sexual assaults. They are almost always very complicated “he said she said”. The JDL incident certainly sounds bad particularly if he wrote an apology…don’t see how you do that if you are innocent. Regardless, I think he’s made some poor choices in life, and I wouldn’t go out of my way to shake his hand or want my daughter anywhere near him…I also stand by the fact that Cam (and Dickert) is being unfairly criticized here because he threw a ball around with him at a QB camp. Not a big deal and I doubt Dickert gives a shit. He certainly wouldn’t give a shit what Biggs thinks about him. Anyone who has a different opinion so be it, I’ll disagree and we will leave it at that.

C. I support a 20 year old kid who I don’t think has done anything wrong. I don’t support JDL or any other rapist. Biggs obsession with details and the topic in general is a little weird IMO, but then again I wouldn’t go out of my way to shake his hand or let my daughter near him either.
