Paolo Banchero Offered

That can't hurt to maybe keep us in play but Banchero's a composite 5-star with lots of offers to sift through as you would expect.

It's still a good move to go after him. He would obviously be a game changer for us.

He might have gotten a late offer. GU top prospect went to UCLA. They got in on Low late as a plan B, and might have offered

Right on Low, Gonzaga was interested and would have eventually offered but they were all in on Jordan Farmar until he picked UCLA. Low was initially looked at by a lot of big name schools but none offered him. Derrick's HS coach was a big Bennett disciple but in the end I believe he picked WSU because he wanted to play in the Pac 10.

Low is back in Hawaii running his basketball academy now. His playing days look to be over - a decision probably hastened by the 2 year suspension by FIBA.

Tho Banchero is a 5 star, with a lot of offers to sift thru, Noah Williams seems to be tight with him.

If it wasnt for that, Smith might not have offered, even tho even if Noah werent tight with him, offering doesnt cost much.

Noah being tight with Banchero, means there is a better chance that he might commit, sign because of being tight with Noah. That doesnt mean that he would commit, sign, only a better chance.

And that why it makes sense to offer him.

What did he do to get a 2 year suspension, first I have heard of this.

Low tested positive in europe for a banned substance back in 2017. Not steroids but an over the counter supplement that he admitted he was taking.

Found it finally. Sounds like Diet Supplements....

Derrick LOW USA
Dimethylbutylamine; Higenamine
20 months suspension
