BINGO.
Agreed!! It's time to put the blinders on, move forward, and WIN games; particularly HOME GAMES. No more promises, no more fairy tales.

The facilities are built, the coach of our dreams is on board....Hell, event the dreaded Seattle Game has been removed from our schedule.

Can we win a couple of freaking HOME conference games this year? Never mind. Don't answer that. No more promises. Just WIN!!!

BINGO.
Bill Moos also once said the bowl game in 2013 came a year early, that 2014 was to have been the year. Guess we all should just slit our throats now. The end is near.

if the DC is Clancy Pendergast,he will not have to actively recruit. The word is that his players love him That will help to sell potential recruits. His resume will also attract some quality recruits. He would be a "name" and a" home run" if he is hired.

The end is near or the end is HERE?

How much worse can the end be than where we've been for the past 10 years? If it weren't for hope, none of us would still be around. Not even us aPaulogists.

Erasing the other seven years and just turning into an endless loop of 08-10 would be worse.

You sure do have a way of overstating things.

For example, unless I missed a post I have written about the DC on the premium board once. And I think it was in response to someone being critical of Paul Sorenson's take. Inside a month on the premium board one post, and the thread wsa not started by me.

Then on this board, how many daily posts on the subject? One? Two?

And I stated an opinion that I haven't seen it take this long. Can you pull out three examples over a ten year period where it took someone 45 days to hire a DC? I would suspect there aren't very many examples. And if that is the case, it is an oddity. You can read what you like into that?

Re: You sure do have a way of overstating things.

OK, there you go. Rather than empty distress over why it's taken this long, what about looking at situations where it HAS taken this long- and try to find a thread that might tie to this. I know Sark wasn't able to hire the DC he wanted last year when he wanted... took more than 45 days, too.

I say legit as I don't know enough Clancy. I know he coached at Berkeley, but they were falling apart at that point. And he was at USC for just one year. I know Dennis Green liked him a lot.

Who are his protégé's? Who are people he may hire at some point if he finds coach x or y isn't up it. Who will coach the DB's? And what will he run at WSU?
obviously nhe will go back to the old formula, giant d tackles to clog the middle and undersized ends and linebackers that can run, because that is the only way to -play defense at WSU, no other system will work at WSU

Now I see. If Ed doesn't start the thread, then whatever he posts in it doesn't matter.

It's the old movie cliche, where the evil can't come in the house unless you invite it in. You should know bringing up the DC job, or the old coach, or year two, or... is the entrance invite.

To be honest it isn't about going against the grain. IMO

Why this leap from saying something was an expectation to the sky is falling?

There is a middle ground.

If the mechanic tells me my car will be done in 5 days, and it takes ten days, he/she set an expectation. If he/she tells me it will take 8 days and it is finished in seven then they met or exceeded my expectation. In either case, the sky isn't falling. I still have a car, I can still get to work.

No...I posted one time on the premium board on the subject

and it was in regards to Sorensons article. But that seems vastly different than a daily diatribe, don't you think?

Re: To be honest it isn't about going against the grain. IMO

Would you engage all the mechanics customers, asking about what they think about how long it's taking your car to get repaired? Talk about all the other mechanics in town, and how much quicker they fix other cars, so why is your car taking so long? Complain that the mechanic said it would be done soon, and you don't know how long it's been, but you know it's not soon anymore?

Well W....if posting it one time on the premium board,

and I believe twice on the free board constitutes everyday for the last 45 then guilty as charged.

Re: Well W....if posting it one time on the premium board,

Twice in the last three days, you've implored people to figure out why it's taken us 45 days to hire a DC, then given out (entirely negative, not even a hint there could be a beneficial reason) reasons that could be possible. Recency effect, I guess, but "2 in 45 days" and "2 in the last three days" can be the same thing- and you beat the "But Moos said SOON!" drum more than that.

Re: Well W....if posting it one time on the premium board,

In any event, there are numerous candidates for whom waiting and doing an announcement at their convenience would be justified because of their teams still being active, or potentially financial reasons were not aware of (no one answered my "Pendergast severance" question) so your "Leach must have gotten bumfuzzled" stance isn't a given.

I don't think such a severance package exists.

The best way to prove me wrong on the daily diatribe is to NOT post on it tomorrow.

You're right. There's a relatively important football game TOMORROW, which makes today better than OK, actually.

Wow...I am going to have to re-read what I wrote...Cause not sure

that is correct.

Probably a better solution, one that you can control is don't read my posts

then you are covered. It is fact and if you really want to go page for page for 30 days that is proof enough.

Not really. The only way for you to avoid a daily diatribe is to not post one tomorrow.

Re: Wow...I am going to have to re-read what I wrote...Cause not sure

As a bonus, the new message boards we'll be getting prior to signing day (hopefully) will have a tool that allows you to search for posts, favorite posts to look at later and more. Plus a bunch of other cool stuff that makes these debates more efficient.

I am so looking forward to the game. Will watch at my parents house with their 70" TV, which is bigger than mine. Will have friends of mine there too. I think it will be close for a half before the Seahawks pull away late third quarter and win comfortably.

Re: Well W....if posting it one time on the premium board,

I am off to my 9 year-old's basketball tourney in Missoula - after which I will watch the remainder of the game. Hawks will win a defensive battle.

This DC hiring is killing me because of anticipation - not the hope of a big name.

The Seahawks have been a second half team the last two years, as their physicality wears down teams. You will be back to see the best part of the game. How is the weather in Montana?

Or December 10th through the 7th...which is by definition

is everyday for the last 45.

Re: Well W....if posting it one time on the premium board,

7 degrees with about 6 - 8 inches of snow with a layer of ice on top from freezing rain - so it's a little chilly.

Re: Probably a better solution, one that you can control is don't read my posts

Go page for page dgibbons or stfu.

Tune in tomorrow...

To see if Ed continues his daily diatribe!

The brothers D prove they lack reading comprehension

No surprise there.

Just a little bit colder there than it is here in the Seattle area where it is around 50 degrees with no rain. Although, it may rain tomorrow during the game.

Oh, one other thing, be safe with the slippery roads.

Search for posts? Why would we need to do that when every thread devolves to the same argument EVERY DAMN TIME?
