Power T football - Dee Andros and Red Smith
The Power-T offense - How football's oldest formation thrives in today's modern game.
History:
from the forward pass to the T formation
this new formation fit Stanford's team of 1940 to a "T"
Chicago Bear's T formation
Michigan style Power T
2025
the Wing T
other T formation variations
and
Bigskilposition - offensive line coaching Blog - Ch 3, football + physics
"Effective blocking is essentially base on 3 things:
1 power comes from driving thru the ground - push, power, punch and poise
2 hips must be set - initially the angle we set, we keep our hips on
3 hands and hips have to be in sync "
"lifting a defender is vital to a good block"
"offset your outside foot back, far enough that if I pushed you from the front, you
would feel strong in that position That's your strength position".
Would like to see new Coach and staff work to install more T variations into
the O. Question is can staff turn around what has been a negative - lack of
linemen recruiting. Have they made a start in 2025 ?
And also coaching improvements in O line performance.
Speaking of, any spies in Pullman that can glean anything as to what's being
put into place by the new strength and conditioning staff ? Have to wonder
if all the new bodies will understand and buy in on strength and conditioning ?
