Is it just me or does this seem like a weak class? Glass and Morton appear solid but after that there are some potential diamonds but no real proven players. I don’t really have my WCC legs under me let, maybe this is a good class for the WCC?
Taking a look at the class Tinkle put together for OSU I would definitely trade straight across.
The class is semi underrated for the WCC(A conference that is weaker, lower level, except for the top 4,5 colleges(Gonzaga, St Mary, San Fran, Santa Clara, either of WSU, or Ore St.
The guards are great, awesome in Glass, Morton, Madzou.
The Bigs are semi projects, under the radar, diamonds in the rough, etc.
2 of the bigs were on NCAA tournament teams STACKED with awesome talent, so that even if the player is GOOD, GREAT, etc, they still buried on the depth chart behind all the WONDERFUL, AWESOME, FANTASTIC, ETC, players, and thus only get 5 to 7 to 10 to 13 minutes per game and crap stats like 4 ppg, 3.5 rebounds per game, etc.
Because of that its hard to know how good, awesome, bad, etc, the BIGS are, will be.
Also the 6-8.5 244 pound big was INJURED A LOT, OUT FOR LOTS OF THE SEASON, in addition to being a 3.5 star, that on a NCAA tournament team, that BURIED behind all the other PROS.
That's a decent class for WSU, given, considering that almost all 14 players left, and given the struggles WSU, PAC 2, PAC 12 have had recently, lack of stability, and that its the WEAKER, LOWER LEVEL WCC competition level.
This kind of class is about on PAR for the WCC. Compare the recruiting classes for any, every WCC team that is NOT Gonzaga, St Mary, San Fran, Santa Clara, Ore St, and on average its about comparable to this WSU class.
So while this class is not super awesome, wonderful, fantastic, etc, on paper, it is semi underrated, and about comparable to WCC classes and better then some here think.
The class and WSU team is good enough for about 15,16,17,18,19,20,21 wins, and about 500 in conference, about 6th in conference, and 1,2 wins in WCC tournament, and either Crown, NIT, CBI, CIT, etc.
Given, considering WSU's situation, instability, roster turnover, etc, that's pretty ok, decent, etc, given that.
