Roger's is out recruiting a semi blue blood in Nebraska that offered South Dakota High School 3 star, 6-6 236 pound, 400 yards receiving HS freshman recruit, that chose Rogers, WSU, over Nebraska that offered.

It's a high end 3 star, 3.5 star recruit.

That recruit can play TE, O Line, D End, Middle linebacker.

But oh no sky is falling, WSU doomed, WSU, Rogers, can't, won't be able to recruit, lol, NOT.

With recruiting like this, and outrecruiting, beating out semi blue bloods like Nebraska, WSU will gradually, eventually semi dominate the G5 ranks, lower to semi mid ended P4 programs, especially if this type of high level recruiting continues to happen at least semi consistently.

We will see what happens, but this is definitely a awesomely good start.

On Sunday night, 2026 tight end Eddie Whiting of Sioux Falls' Jefferson High School announced on X that he had received a scholarship offer from Rogers' staff at WSU.



247Sports rates Whiting as a three-star recruit with a player rating of 87. He is the outlet's #36 tight end in the class of 2026 and the #3 overall recruit in the state of South Dakota.

Playing in eight games this past season, Whiting totaled 383 receiving yards on 29 receptions. He missed three games due to injury.

Measuring 6'6" and 236 pounds, Whiting has the size needed to be a difference maker on a Division I roster. He has reported scholarship offers from Nebraska, Iowa State, Kansas, Michigan State, Minnesota, South Dakota State, and Washington in addition to WSU.

Now, WTF is wrong with this picture? MSU and Neb, at least, appear to have extended offers, Neb recently. The others in supposed play?

Lol. His twitter is full of posts of pictures of him and coaches from Utah, UW, Oregon, Michigan State. He even has a picture of him and Johnathon Smith + their TE coach. And all his posts about receiving offers are the same script as the WSU one. After a great I’m blessed to received an offer from _______. No we haven’t practically bagged the kid. And I’ve never doomed on Rogers. I’ve been defending him to people dooming on his recruiting.

If he chooses WSU I salute you. In the mean time you are predicting the actions of an 18 year old kid who has grown men with hundreds of millions of dollars behind their product treating him like he’s king shit of fck mountain. If you’re building a “National Championship Contender” you can’t be afraid to recruit against anyone.

I don’t ever remember a football coach at WSU hired with National Championship contender as his stated public goal.

Closest I remember was the day Price got hired and he was adamant he would build a Rose Bowl 🌹 contender. (and he did)

Calm the F down Mik. Did I not give you props for your find? I'm not doom and gloom at all. I just state facts. here's a couple:

• Between portal transfers and HS kids flipping, WSU now has upwards of 25 Jackrabbits on the team. Almost all of whom had zero FBS offers Ever. Fact. Oh and for a guy who preaches loyalty, Rogers had no problem gutting his alma mater SDSU. Bring 6-8 guys, fine. Bring the whole f-ing team? Real loyal.......
• Any recruit that had even a sniff from an FBS school? Oh shit WSU beat out the entire P4 for their services! Brand X's reporting is farcical. Just trying to show the world that Rogers is FBS and P4 quality

Good for WSU if we got a player or 2 who MIGHT have actually had a scholarship offer from a G5 or P4 schools. That doesn't offset 25 Jackrabbits.

I'm probably pretty old school, but IMHO college teams live or die by their O lines, and you have to recruit enough of them to always have at a minimum a credible 2 deep. I'm seeing this staff putting in effort in that direction.

I agree with your affinity for recruiting O lineman, but I guess I'm not quite seeing the emphasis you refer to. Although I don't have a complete list of our transfers and recruits in hand. I do like this new guy that Brand X is trumpeting, Dylan Hildebrand. Odd though, that he had not previously committed to any of the G5 or FCS schools that apparently had offered him. Holding out for WSU I guess.
