From an article on Cougfan. “One-hundred percent,” Stone said, agreeing with the notion WSU’s leaders responded positively after the loss to Utah. “When you’re in that locker room it's just, keep your head up, keep your head up and keep moving on, keep getting better. No one is in there ducking their head and feeling sorry for themselves. At the end of the day, if we don’t get better then what’s the point of playing?”

Hmmm so no one is ducking their heads (aka pouting) and feeling sorry for themselves? Newsflash young Stone, your head coach appears to disagree. The last sentence is a catch 22. "If we don't get better then what the point of playing". That's exactly the problem. Your team quit playing because you weren't getting better!

Less Ron Stone Jr. hot takes and more Max Borghi. Eff the group hug mentality, grow some Stones (pun intended) and get on your teammate to do their jobs.

The emotional maturity thing is all relative. The perspective thing as well. The staff needs to do a better job in recruiting achievers as opposed to "potential" players. I watched a Boise State game against Air Force ad then checked out their roster. Just from the 2017' they were 7 of 9 in regards to players already seeing time and looking tough. WSU was 7 of 12 for the 2017' class. Is it the interview process, film evaluation or both.

he's a freshman/RS freshman probably doing his first public speaking gig ever, and just trying to give the usual cliche' sports-speak interview. I wouldn't put much thought into the validity of the comments and how well they match the true attitude of the team.
