Rutgers!!!!!!! Been looking forward to this game for a few years now,if the Cougs can beat Rutgers this year I will be 1 happy camper!!
My bad guys, that post was supposed be a tongue in cheek joke about PacNW beer snobs. I'd be happy to drink any kind of beer with fellow football fans!
We should have seen that. Any post which involves Coug fans turning down free beer should be regarded as highly questionable. My bad guys, that post was supposed be a tongue in cheek joke about PacNW beer snobs. I'd be happy to drink any kind of beer with fellow football fans!
Love it! Maybe this time it'l be true.Jersey kids give up when the going gets tough. WSU scores 4 unanswered touchdowns, Rutgers finger pointing starts. WSU runs it out to 55-0.
Well, 4 RU players were arrested, and 3 of them played safety or cornerback (Boggs, Stephenson and Peele) . That's going to hurt us a bit.

I will amend that to say the first ONE. The second ONE comes when you play at HPS in Piscataway.Beaced, I guess we are looking at 55-0 loss again this year. Maybe I should just go to the beach instead of the game.
I am not one to gloat or start trouble. Did not watch the Wazzu game yesterday. Was it a WTF game, or is there a more fundamental problem?
Sometimes these 1st games that seem like a slam dunk blow up. Remember, Ohio State lost last year early in the season to Virginia Tech, and they won it all. Not saying you guys will win it all, but shit happens early on that can get cleaned up.
We rolled, but our secondary looked very very vulnerable early on. We have a QB competition on our hands. Our RBs appear to be studs, if yesterday is an indication. Carroo needs to be quadruple covered.
Hoping we have a shootout like last year.
If run defense is the problem, you guys have to clean that up quickly. As you guys know, we have a formidable group of RBs, and Rettig has legs (nice surprise), and Laviano showed legs last year.
If I am Rutgers coaches, our plan is to control the clock and run it down Wazzu's throat and not get in a shootout.
Wazzu needs to expose Rutgers secondary. Wazzu need the big men up front can keep Rutgers DL out of the QBs face.
Oh, and the forecast calls for rain. . . . .

Trust us when we understand the implications of your running game and TOP is not in our favor. Ironically, the weather in Newark is going to be 84 next Saturday with a chance of .02 " of rain. Sounds like heaven...especially to anyone making the trip.
Too early to predict the weather. NJ weather in September can change pretty quickly. We may get some tropical storm action towards the end of the week, which could mean showers during the game. Too soon to tell. Just hope it rains and Wazzu has issues in the rain.

That's the first time I have ever heard Newark and Heaven commingled in the same sentence. Lol
Newark is about 20-30 miles north of where our stadium is, Piscataway, NJ. There is a a Rutgers campus in Newark, but it is not part of the main campus system in New Brunswick and Piscataway.
Tell that to Don Bosco Prep HS who dominate Cali,Fla,Ala,Ohio and Texas schools regularly on the road.NJ is known for tough hardnosed kids.We look at west coast kids as 'soft'.Jersey kids give up when the going gets tough. Hey Cougar fans. We named our starting QB. It is Laviano. Much of our board is having a melt down because they think Rettig was the better choice. Who will be the starting QB for Wazzu?
Well the first lesson you need to learn is if you hope anything at WSU you will be disappointed. So if you hope for it to rain and for us to struggle. It will be sunny and we'll kick your butt. it's like that costanza episode of seinfield where george does the opposite and everything magically goes his way.
