and I'm not going anywhere, so, you know what?? Pants off Sunday!!! In all seriousness, beating the Ducks in Eugene WHILE making all kinds of mistakes and dealing with turnovers and bad weather and a hostile crowd and adversity is about as impressive to me as it gets. In years past, to get a conference win, the Cougs had to play a perfect game. There was zero margin for error, because of the talent and composure/confidence gap. But today the team didn't fold, and beat the top program in our division on the road in spite of everything. It's not like beating last year's Ducks (that still would've required a perfect game) but it's still a big step for a young team trying to create a new identity for itself.
Still not sure we manage a bowl game, but I'll take a win at Autzen any old time, and sometimes winning ugly can be so pretty, especially after so many years of fragility. It shows resilience and toughness. And all the credit in the world to Falk for taking his beating and still making clutch plays over and over again.
