Yes, I went with a couple buddies. Forecast of 45 degrees for the high was way off, as temps were comfy due to sunshine.Anyone go?
Looked like they had a pretty fair amount of kids there for a clinic afterwards. Solid marketing plan to plant the seed early.
What was the crowd like? Was there a beer garden?Yes, I went with a couple buddies. Forecast of 45 degrees for the high was way off, as temps were comfy due to sunshine.
I heard someone say that they limited the number of kids at the clinic to 50. Cannot verify that or even give you a headcount guess once the clinic started as we left right after the scrimmage.
All 3 of us agreed that the most impressive player was placekicker #97. That guy has absolute thunder in his leg! From 40-45 yards out he was clearing the net that was 5 yards behind the goal posts. Wow! And in all the warmups and position activities, he was accurate. The other 2 kickers were pretty accurate as well, although they were clearly lacking the leg strength of #97.
As for the rest of the players, the RB's showed some nice moves and consistently went low and powered ahead to maximize the yardage rather than ease up looking for a running lane to open up.
Just looking at the team for the "eye test", they didn't knock your sox off. We'll need to see how they look and then perform vs another team before making an evaluation on how our talent will be able to compete with the other schools.
Just my $.02 worth......
Anyone obviously injured (casts, boots, crutches, etc.)?Yes, I went with a couple buddies. Forecast of 45 degrees for the high was way off, as temps were comfy due to sunshine.

So you’re saying we are always in field goal range? Love it, 10 drives a game 30 points a game. Math’s out.Yes, I went with a couple buddies. Forecast of 45 degrees for the high was way off, as temps were comfy due to sunshine.

I don’t think there was. The practice started at 9 but that’s no excuse. What was the crowd like? Was there a beer garden?
Mostly laid back. Didn't see a beer garden, didn't look for one, didn't care. Had a Blue Moon at The Swinging Doors with lunch. What was the crowd like? Was there a beer garden?
Not that I noticed. A WR was hurting after a diving attempt, wandered to the side and got some staff attention. I think it was likely just getting the air knocked out of him.Anyone obviously injured (casts, boots, crutches, etc.)?
Almost! There were several we felt would easily by good from 60-65 yards. Not sure that was his limit......So you’re saying we are always in field goal range? Love it, 10 drives a game 30 points a game. Math’s out.
