Well as I've said before I generally accept this criticism. It is a problem with this team but in this case we actually got decent shots down the stretch. Rodman hit a couple of clutch 3's but other than that we didn't make anything. The inability to make free throws continues to haunt us. It would have been nice if Rodman had boxed out on the last shot but we got away with it.This was the type of game where our lack of playmakers and a true point guard nearly killed us.
Mullins is such a defensive liability that we can't keep him on the floor during crunch time. It's a huge problem. Gueye needs to spend the entire off season working on his shot. We need a point guard.
With all of that said, if Bamba plays today we win by 10+.
That's the analysis.
On the positive side of Gueye being in foul trouble, I thought Dion had his best game of the season. He looked more confident than I've ever seen him. He gave us a couple nice buckets, and 4 offensive rebounds which was huge. He really hustled on those O boards.Gueye is getting more comfortable in his role as option 1 in the offense but shoots a low percentage if you take away the dunks. It’s coming around, he can obviously shoot it’s just a matter of getting more confidence and with that will come consistency.

Gueye is a great talent and one of the conferences best prospects, but if he doesn’t improve his shot, he won’t make an NBA roster. That’s not a criticism. The NBA is a freakishly competitive league. Look at the 3s, 4s, and 5s on the worst teams in the NBA. It’s crazy.Gueye is getting more comfortable in his role as option 1 in the offense but shoots a low percentage if you take away the dunks. Looked more comfortable. Seemed to keep it simple and not try to do too much. We really need him to steal minutes the rest of the way.On the positive side of Gueye being in foul trouble, I thought Dion had his best game of the season.
