Starting at RT, not LT.6'7" true freshman, former blocking TE, starting at LT in D-1 is impressive and a testament to the kids tenacity. If he somehow makes it thru this season in one piece, Wyoming might have a good lineman to build on.
I don't like the grey uniforms either. Can't stand 'em. Love are away unis, though."Wyoming plans to start 6-foot-7, 265-pound true freshman Zach Wallace at right tackle on Saturday"
Gotta think that Vaeao and Paulo are smiling at this. Very few true freshmen are actually ready to play on the OL in college...fewer still are ready to line up against senior veterans, especially when they give away 20 lbs to them.
I hate the grey unis.
The good news for us then... is that every play SHOULD be a WSU highlight reel play. If it isn't... will it be ok to express concern? (asking for a fren)Starting at RT, not LT.
At 6'7", 265, I'd be concerned that he's too light to be effective, and combining his height and weight it might be very easy for an opposing DL (especially a veteran) to get underneath and stand him up. He'll have to be very good on his feet - much better than most freshmen are.
No. Maybe he truly is a freshman phenom. I think it's something less than likely that a true freshman at Wyoming is that good, but it's possible, I suppose. The good news for us then... is that every play SHOULD be a WSU highlight reel play. Yes. We had better dominate. Against every true freshman they start. Every play, phenom or not.
