Most people wouldn't put their own or family's personal financial situation in peril over a sport. Add to that even people with the means in the Pac 12 footprint spend their money on other passions to a larger degree and there it is.

They didn’t do anything the whole game, so there’s not much reason to think another play would help. But they should have had another play.

That obviously blown call on national TV will not make the criticism of conference officiating go away.

No i don't. There's plenty of people missing teeth and shoes everywhere. After the iron bowl where Auburn won on that returned missed field goal, a Bama fan (woman) shot another Bama fan (woman) in the gut at a watch party because she wasn't upset enough that they lost. You think that's happening anywhere else? You could find enough people right now from any of the SEC school's fans that would gladly let their mortgage go into default for a chance to watch their team play in the CFB playoff. You think that would happen anywhere else?
