One take-a-way from this, (besides the fact that a lot of folks have no idea how lucky we are to have Luke), is that he said....."Respect your opponent". So much discussion on how and why we lost to Portland State. Again, the Cougs thought they'd just show up, and 59-7 game over. With the combination of bad weather, fans exiting the stadium in the 2nd QTR, and playing to the level of our opponent, (in addition to not respecting the opponent), is why we lost. Won't happen again this year. Lessons learned. - - - Next!

I told people the players see them walk out at halftime. The fact the starting QB mentioned it in a press conference / acknowledged that fans leave early is ridiculous. What QB beside WSU has to ask fans to not leave early when the damn University is the only thing in the city.
And no this isn't a Leach thing this is a sh*tty WSU student section thing that started long before Leach, Falk, Halliday or even Wulff for that matter.

Winning (consistently) should change that. Just like Bandwagon Seahawk fans. It will change everything. Student's will line up at 4AM, and Alums will buy shirts from Duluth, Minnesota.
I give the kids departure at halftime of the Portland State game a pass. Poor little buggers looked like soaked cats straggling out. With the outcome (apparently) determined and dry clothes sitting in a warm dorm room a few minutes walk away, I can't blame them. If this week's game is played in pleasant late Summer/ early Fall weather and they still leave, then no. I say we sic tron on them.
He's a very good leader. He'll get even better too.
We are in good hands.
Now we need a leader like this on defense.
