I'm not sure the previous staff believed in soft landings. CJ Moore got the same treatment. Attempts to get him the ball were high difficulty catches in coverage. Whatever happened to building up a players confidence at game speed?

There was a reason CJ got beat out by a true freshmen. Probably many reasons.

Allen Tx is no joke. Multiple P5 guys on the field every game. This is gonna look different than a guy running away from people in the KingCo or GSL conference…and he’s still breaking ankles and leaving guys in the dust.

Jenkins played high level Texas HS football and I haven’t seen him get caught from behind in any of the film I’ve watched.

Not sure why his offer sheet was lacking, but he looks to be a good find, especially for our offense.

I'd have to guess maybe it's his (lack of) size? Not that it should mean anything in today's game.

Yeah, I don’t get why he didn’t get picked up. He’s got good speed and change of direction, and he’s pretty good at finding holes and squeezing through.
Probably not the guy you want on the field for pass protection, and he hits the line a little upright, but the second one can get coached away. Or he could move into the slot.
