No. MI probably edited the post because I linked the mobile site which doesn't link properly.

You'll have to ask him why it took two attempts....

joke

it sounds like Spokane comments from the early 80's. Lather, rinse, repeat.

He does have a point... we aren't competing in our own conference and now, only three coaches remain, entering our 4th year of the "rebuild"... which we're flushing with this sudden panic move to go the JC route... effectively admitting 12-10-12 fell short.

Or, they're going to a different defense and needed immediate personnel for that- the two DL seem like prototype 4-3 ends.

But by all means, talk about how we "aren't competing in our own conference" (?) and write off recruits who have barely finished a redshirt year because the "12-10-12" narrative is just simple enough for you, and ignores that the program's five year is more like "20-20-12-10-12".

No, he doesn't have a point. We finished tied for 7th last year and tied for 10th this year. Are we a bottom half team right now? Yes, and so is UW, OSU, Cal, Colorado and Utah. We're far from "not competing" in the PAC 12. We are primed for a jump next year.....

Sorry, I'm not buying what Moos is selling... that 2 fbs wins and no bowl > 6 wins and a bowl game and demonstrates improvement.

Leach isn't either, hence the recruiting panic and only 3 coaches remaining from his original "This is the best coaching staff I have ever been a part of" staff.

Moos made the right decision rolling over the contract... what choice did he have?

Describe this recruiting "panic" and how it differs from needing different type players to best execute a scheme change. They just recruited two 4-3 ends, best I can tell- are there guys like that on the roster already?

Weren't Wilson, Simmons, McGuire, Mastro and Salavea are part of the original staff?

I don't believe we're better off without Bucannon either. The 2014 defense was not as good as the 2013 defense, no one disagrees with that. Leach isn't panicking, he's shoring up some obvious holes in the defense with sought after JUCO players. These aren't no names without offers like Wulff would get. Look at the offer lists of our recruits over the last 2 years and the offer lists of Wulff's recruits over his 4 years. There is no comparison, it's not even close.

couldn't agree more, most of the JC players wullf got had to redshirt before proving they weren't pac 12 material

Even Ed has admitted the positive impact Guate and Sagote had on the defense. Why not get twice as many this time?

Wilson filled Choate's spot after he left to be DC at UTEP but ended up at Florida.

I suppose if Leach is panicking, many of those other programs who offered these Riverside kids were too. Bringing in 5 JCs hardly looks like panicking.

Looks more to me like this was an opportunity to get some legit developed talent with the Greg Hoyd, Sr. connection.
