Why would a "source" run to the cmu campus paper?

So the student news paper at CMU has a source close to the WSU coaching search? Seriously? Like maybe one of the student reports is high school buddies with an intern at the search firm, or what?

Article says that same search firm that brought McElwain to CM is also doing the coach search for WSU. So doesn’t seem too far fetched that they have a pretty good source.

How f'ing hard is it to do a 'search'? There's, what, 100 FCS schools? Probably half have coaches who aren't looking to move and another 25% are not candidates due to poor performance/hot seats.

So maybe 25 viable candidates who are current head coaches. Add another dozen or so coordinators.

That's a couple hours work on google.

Or just hang on message boards for a day and compile a list - hell, the pros and cons are already laid out.

It makes sense today. I’m sure Chun is finalizing his list and contacting Grinch, Harrell, and other candidates more connected to the program first. If they fell through, he’ll expand his query. That’s what Mississippi St. did.

I expect interviews were done today and will continue tomorrow. I'm expecting a Monday announcement. Don't think Chun can afford to wait long even though he said there was no rush. The head coaching carousel may have mostly stopped but we need to get a move on to fill out the assistants. Plus we have 7 spots to fill in recruiting.
