Molina and Hristova haven't needed to play every minute tonight. A lot of players getting good minutes. Bella Murekatete looks like she could become the best big we have had at WSU and we desperately need it.
BYU's a big test on Saturday. They are pretty talented, experienced, shoot the 3 well, and have size.

First game of the season for the two teams so it's a bit difficult to come to any concrete conclusions as to the relative strengths of the two. That said, Pepperdine has been selected to win their conference, the WCC, so they must have some ability.
Agree with Ferris and 1990 regarding Murekatete. She is going to be a good one. Nankervis, the center from Australia, also played well. Two quality freshman post players- I like it.

Crowd was disappointing to me as it looked to be rather small. Is there a multitude of entertainment opportunities available on a Tuesday night in Pullman or are all the students unable to pry themselves away from their textbooks for a couple of hours? I hope that attendance picks up and suspect that it will as this year's team is worth watching.

Yup, one game so not too much can be drawn at this point. Pepperdine finished pretty high in the WCC last year but I think I saw them picked 6th by the media. GU and BYU are the best WCC programs and we will see both in Pullman this year.

Pepperdine was 22-11 last year and has three returning starters The stream did not work for me other to let me know what the score was every 15 minutes. It is an encouraging start but BYU will be a better test.
