First game of the season for the two teams so it's a bit difficult to come to any concrete conclusions as to the relative strengths of the two. That said, Pepperdine has been selected to win their conference, the WCC, so they must have some ability.

Crowd was disappointing to me as it looked to be rather small. Is there a multitude of entertainment opportunities available on a Tuesday night in Pullman or are all the students unable to pry themselves away from their textbooks for a couple of hours? I hope that attendance picks up and suspect that it will as this year's team is worth watching.
