WSU VS EWU

I was really looking forward to watching this game. But my brother, who lives in Arizona, asked me on Tuesday if I could pick up his daughter at the airport and take her home. Of course, I said yes, that I would pick up my niece. So, I will listen to the game in my car on the radio. Curious to listen to the new play by play guy, Chris King.

I guess I don’t get the stream in my area and the other suggestions on how to watch this

Not available in my area as well. Strange to have this only on SWX. Why no SWX for Spokane and ESPN+ for anywhere else? Such is life.

Different Coaches and different ideas on defense. One played a fairly awful man-to-man and got nearly every big into foul trouble. The other played at least 4-5 different defenses none of which worked. Not at all impressed with the WSU defense at this point. Hopefully, they will adapt a little bit prior to WCC play. The top WCC teams will pound the rock and foul out every big that we have.

This game let us work on our offense against multiple defenses so that was useful. Playing in Spokane Arena is fine but what an awful crowd. They had more attendance at the Gonzaga WBB game.

SPOKANE — Dane Erikstrup had a career-high 24 points with six three-pointers and Washington State made 16 from behind the arc in a 96-81 victory over Eastern Washington on Thursday.

Erikstrup was 8-of-14 shooting and had eight rebounds for the Cougars (5-1). Cedric Coward added 22 points while going 7 of 12 from the floor, including 3 for 5 from three-point range, and 5 for 7 from the line and also had nine rebounds and seven assists. Isaiah Watts shot 6 of 12 from the field, including 4 for 7 from three-point range, and went 6 for 8 from the line to finish with a career-best 22 points, while adding five assists and three steals.

Nic McClain led the Eagles (1-4) in scoring, finishing with 24 points, seven rebounds and six steals. Andrew Cook added 20 points for Eastern Washington. Sebastian Hartmann scored 16 points.

Wasn't able to watch the game because of another commitment. From the box score looks like we won the game from the 3-point line. Far too many turnovers once again. It's becoming apparent they don't value the ball and that's on the coaches.

Why they keep trying to play games at that dump in escapes me. I'd think at some point they'd figure out they're not going to be supported there. They'd have been better off playing in Cheney.

Only saw a bit after they fixed the feed then highlights today. I don't remember seeing 4 players account for 90% of the 96 points scored.

We shot well and while 16-30 from 3 isn't sustainable it shows what we are capable of doing. Along with turnovers on the not so good side, some seem to take too many chances that gets an already suspect defense out of whack. Riley spoke to it as lack of focus and gambling too much. Need to clean those things up.

I didn't watch this game for the reason I wrote above. But listening to the radio and also the post-game press conference with Coach Riley, our problems with turnovers on defense usually occur when we have a big lead. The team works hard to get the lead and then they tend to lose focus. Thinking back on other games, I think this is true.

Don't know that I agree with that. There have been at least two games they had a ton of turnovers in the first 5 minutes. I can't remember which one but I think they had 7 turnovers in the first 2 minutes of one game. Maybe Bradley. Either way the way they are turning the ball over is going to cost them at some point.

To be more precise, two things can be true. The Cougars often start games playing carelessly with the ball before they right the ship. They also play carelessly with the ball when they get out to a big lead.
