For those who have not noticed, Daugherty and her girls are on a hell of a roll. Started out the Idaho State game 40-0. Good Lord! Been watching various sports for half a century and never heard of anyone starting out a bb game by scoring the first forty points. O.K., maybe ISU is not that good but still...

And check out the LOI's on the official website. They signed the #1 and #3 international players available. Also the So. Dakota women's bb player of the year. A 6' g-f from Bulgaria rated #1 internationally, a 6'4" c from Portugal rated #3, and a 5'11' g from So. Dakota. The pick up of the two European girls is particularly impressive. The Bulgarian kid was the European MVP in 2011 during the under 16 championships, the 2014 MVP in the under 18 championships. 28 ppg, 7 rpg and 2 apg. The 6'4" center was the 2013 MVP in the under 16 European championships. 14 ppg and 11 rpg. The guard from South Dakota hit 20 ppg with 4 rpg, 2 apg and 3 spg. One pretty impressive haul. Again, check out the official website.

Watched the ISU highlights on same website. Passing and teamwork was excellent. Yes, highlights show only the best but I have not seen one of our women's teams play like that.

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out.

Don't know that this is the place for it but I'll say it, none-the-less… I wouldn't be surprised if the women's team draws a larger crowd than the mens. This men's team, is flat out horrible.

They certainly should out draw the men. They are getting votes in the AP Top25 and play 16th ranked Nebraska in Pullman at 8:00 on Wednesday night.

Hard to believe that the students can't back a NCAA bound team that if they beat Nebraska should be ranked in the Top25.

June and the stafff is killing the recruiting and the play.

WSU women are stinking up the floor in 2nd half v. Nebraska

Game was tied at 34 at half, but Nebraska has slammed that door shut. Our guards have vanished, and the No. 16 team in the country decided to show up.

Galderia and Presley couldn't hit the broad side of anything last night. Whenever that happens the Cougs will suffer. Another shooter needs to emerge and Brown needs to start. The Aussie is the real deal and will help close the middle alongside Dheenshaw. Still too many wayward passes, but this team is a step up from last season.

This team is so much better than when Daugherty took over. WSU is not a laughing stock any more even though it still gets overlooked. How do they get voted 8th in the preseason coaches poll when they finished 7th last season and return everyone?

When I watched the game, Nebraska was playing at another level. They were hot all game from the outside. There was a stat late in the first half where they only had 4 points in the paint. Sometimes a team just doesn't miss. Nebraska had one of those games.
