Alabama. Ya know the 3rd best team in the nation? The 3rd best team in the SEC. Ya know the 10th best team in the nation? The 10th best team in the SEC.

Anybody think there is a better Top 2 than Alabama and Georgia though?

Clemson deserves to be in the conversation. Notre Dame doesn’t.
Oklahoma’s offense deserves it too. Too bad they’re hamstrung by a crap defense. Still could have beat Bama if they hadn’t showed up 20 minutes late.

This year the SEC has the best top 2 teams. No question. But I think several league's bottom 2 teams are better than the SEC's bottom 2 teams. They are a league of high high's and low low's.

TBD. There is no team this year (or last year, for that matter) that did to Alabama what Georgia did, ie lead them all game long. Clemson and Bama are about to play for the title. Once we see that, we can imagine who the true #2 is: inside or outside the SEC.

Arkansas sucks. Really bad.

But what other SEC teams are really bad? Vandy? Ol Miss? Not sure. That league is tough.

Alabama is good. So are Georgia, LSU, Florida and Auburn - even if UF is overrated. In any given year, one of the MS schools is up and so is A&M. Sometimes even MO & AR. But to have 1/3 of your schools making a serious run at non-con trophies every year is pretty good. SEC takes a lot of heat because they keep winning. The rest of college football is like the underemployed Arab street burning effigies of Uncle Sam. SEC would take a lot less heat if they lost 80% of their OOC games.

If the ACC or B10 were put under the same scrutiny they would melt. I mean, imagine being the B10 and having Minnesota, Purdue, Northwestern, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana and Rutgers on the schedule every year! In a given year NOBODY is doing anything. Or imagine being the ACC and having Miami under Richt, Louisville, GT, Wake Forest, Pitt, Boston College, NC State, UNC, UVA, VT, Syracuse and Duke? At any given time maybe 2-3 are passable? Fortunately for those two conferences, they are obviously garbage and escape scrutiny.

Yeah if UW gets past Ohio St the Big 10 is going to end up looking pretty bad this bowl season. Only Wisconsin has put in a good showing

Minnesota pounded Georgia Tech. There are still 5 Big-10 teams yet to play. but yes....Michigan and Purdue weren't a good look for that conference.

Glad Cougar

Florida, Georgia, LSU are a cluster of 2nd tier teams who beat eachother. Clemson is better than all 3 and undoubtedly the #2 team in the nation. I’ll be rooting for them in the championship. Georgia just isn’t deserving of anything with their convincing loss to LSU.
