2025 Schedule finalized

Are we watching the same team week after week?

BSU just DESTROYED a team we struggled mightily with. Granted, we should have dominated SDSU, but we didn't.

I expect similar results the rest of the year. Whether is the OC or the players or both, the inability of the offense to keep the foot on the gas is a real and persistent issue.

FWIW, the transitive property does not apply to college football. By any reasonable measure, Kansas State should have crushed Houston this weekend based on each of them played other teams....but the Wildcats lost on the road. Now, that does mean that we can lose to any team on our schedule, but we aren't losing to Utah State, New Mexico or Wyoming unless we really, really choke badly. It could happen though.

Oregon State is a tough win. Strangely enough, we have won 9 of our last 10 against OSU. They did whip us in Corvallis in 2022 though. Still, I really like our chances of finishing 11-1 this year.

Uhh, I watched the WYO at New Mexico game yesterday. Both are bad. I mean, really bad. Zero defense, and both teams looked liked FCS level, especially The Lobos. University Stadium looked 70% empty.

If we happen to lose one game, it would at Oregon State, not necessarily a Trap Game, but a game the Beavers might want more then us, as we would be going into Corvallis 9-1.
New Mexico has put up 40+ points many times this season. They have a really tough running game, which concerns me.

The Oregon State game is very concerning. They'll circle the wagons when we come to town. They haven't been great this year, but they've played their share of tough opponents.

New Mexico also averages giving up 40.8 points per game with 367 points in 9 games. There has only been one game where they have given up less than 35 points (17 against CSU). But it is true, UNM does have a good offense. It will be a high scoring game with WSU winning easily, as the offenses are about the same, but our defense is light years ahead of theirs,

Rationally, on paper, you and everyone else is right - 11-1 should be the record at the end of the year.

This team does not play to appease rationality.
