$71,000 for a 48-hour weekend...at UW.

Saw the total amount spent by UW on recruiting and it doesn't hold a candle to what Georgia and Alabama spend. Probably why you see Pac-12 recruiting falling so far off, nobody is spending the money on it compared to the SEC except for maybe Oregon. Wazzu spends a little over $500K and that's probably because it's so damn expensive to get to Pullman.

You have flying first class, flying coach, riding Greyhound bus. Which PAC 12 schools are which???

Rule 9: “All forms of adult entertainment are strictly prohibited … ”

How many times did Sark violate that one?

He violated Rule 8 every stinking weekend. Rule 8: “The use of alcohol or drugs by student-athletes, prospects, coaches and staff members is expressly prohibited by department policy during an official visit and throughout the recruiting process.”

And I thought this kind of stuff was a violation: "they will be greeted by former UW quarterback Damon Huard, who will huddle the group and give a “pregame” speech, pumping up the recruits just before they charge the field."

That’s a tricky one. I guess former athletes are exempt from this rule. Oregon abuses it with Phil Knight with their recruits since he’s a former Oregon track athlete.

etown, it depends on the quality level of hookers and blow. At UW, I would not expect top shelf.

Not sure what the going rate for such things are, but they spent 8K per recruit. Those kids are in for a reality check once they show up on campus in the fall. Nothing in there college experience is going to compare to the treatment they got on their official visit. A stark contrast to Rolo's you cant trick kids mantra.

I hear the letter “T” has become an employee of the escort services with very reasonable fees

That literally worst collection of college girls that I have ever seen in photo. I mean we are talking coeds that are supposed to be at their prime. "O" might have potential, who knows with the cap pull down, and other than that a bunch of yuck.

Between that factor and the weather it is not amazing that they have to spend big bucks to get recruits.

Cougs at the bottom of the PAC-12 in the amount of money spent on recruiting, guess that means we’re riding in the greyhound bus. I get that some of you think living in a small college town like Pullman is a “plus” for recruiting “the right kind of player.” Hell, I’ve spent the last 30 plus years living in Wyoming, so I obviously prefer a very rural lifestyle. But the demographics clearly show that most people, and particularly young people, don’t.

Like it or not, the fact is that nowadays it’s hard to recruit players to places like Pullman. On top of this, to be spending the least amount of money on recruiting in the conference (and this likely means in any P5 conference) really means the Coug football staff are trying to recruit at a very distinct disadvantage. Maybe Rolo will recruit at a significantly higher level than a Leach, but I’m betting he will be just as constrained by the inherent limitations at Pullman as Leach was. Offers mean nothing, athletes on the field is the only measure of recruiting success. We’ll find out next year.

Yet Leisure Suit Larry in San Francisco will continue to make twice as much money as his counterpart in the SEC, even though SEC teams got 44 million each in tv rights this last year, while the Cougs and other PAC schools get 31 million each. Talk about corruption in the SEC, how does Larry keep his job?

Sorry for the rambling, but I’m so pissed about the “trickle down” effects of lack of money on the Cougs.

Larry needs to be canned and replaced with someone competent. It's not like we don't pay enough to hire someone better from another conference. We are not getting value for money paid to Leisure Suit Larry.

Larry could be working for free and we wouldn’t be getting value for money. He’s heisting $4 mill a year right now.
