Have been curious on the MLS deal they got as well as MLB.

I personally see no downside for a College Sports streaming service on Apple TV. You don't need the cable companies to carry it. It would seem that simply converting the current Pac-12 network subscribers to a new platform that pays more would be a good business strategy. Ad other markets and alumnii in the mix, could add up to real dollars very quickly.

Asked my BIL the other day how I could watch the Sounders. He told me about the Apple + deal so I switched it on and watched the game. No big deal. Great broadcast.

Did you see our thread below....potential Pac-12 Merger with Apple TV+?

As mentioned, they do a sensational job with Friday Night Baseball.

I think they would add a quality vibe to the Pac-12, for sure.

Wasn't aware a merger could be in the cards.

I was mainly thinking of some type of Apple TV college sports package. Keep the Pac-12 network as is, move a few games to Apple, increase the streaming capabilities.

I've got the MLS deal for the Sounders as well. Although I'm not thrilled about putting out more $$ (I got ESPN+ to watch the Sounders) so far I'm very happy with it as there REALLY REALLY are NO blackouts.

The first years with ESPN+ I never knew if I'd be blacked out cause sometimes they thought Moscow was in Washington. Or they'd black out games on Altitude. Any game on ESPN, Fox, etc were blacked out.

With the new MLS package you can watch any game. You can also listen to the local broadcast. I watched the LAFC game on Apple but switched to Fox as I didn't like the Apple announcers. Then I went back to Apple.

I've watched the last 2 Sounders games and listened to the Sounder's announcer (KJR). So far I'm very happy.

I like the fact you can switch the broadcasting crew.
