The Wildcats used a swarming defense to frustrate our ladies at Lower Soccer Field tonight. Both teams were nationally ranked, a situation that will be common in this Pac12 season. Az scored in the 81st minute from a scramble in front of the net and hung on for the win. We were often close, two or three rejected on the goal line and another hit the post. But this is not horseshoes or hand grenades so a loss for us. Next up, ASU on Sunday at 1pm.

p.s. This was the sixth game in which Morgan Weaver failed to score. Teams are really concentrating on covering her.

I enjoy watching soccer and do not mind passing along what information I have gleaned. I'll even watch the overtimes from now on. That senior moment will not happen again. At least not till the next time.
