Cam Ward issuing warnings??

After 18 seasons of college football he believes he finally had a good one. If NFL scouts and GMs are smart they watch all his film, not just his last season at Miami against who???? Surely after 200 college football games played he has a wealth of amazing games against great teams to show.

Maybe Cleveland drafts him and he is an amazing pro? 😁

I watched Cam fold like a tent and start doing year 1 Cam things as soon as his OLine was exposed. Back to his old running out of clean pockets, fumbling, etc. If I’m a GM I wouldn’t touch him unless the OLine and running game was in place.

If he goes to a team with a subpar OLine and running game he’s going to be a bust.

That said just about everyone near the top of the board has just that

Remember when you laughed about him being in a NFL camp?

I'll be surprised if Ward is in NFL in three years. As mentioned above, if he doesn't have a great OL in front of him, he's going to be a gigantic flop.
Perhaps but even Mahomes looks like a fraud against a dominant defense that doesn’t give up easy running lanes.

As the first or second QB pick, only three years would make him a one of the biggest NFL flops ever. Jamarcus Russell lasted three years. Leaf bounced around for 5 years (parts of five anyway).

Mahomes had an elite OLine for at least his first 5 years when he was on his rookie deal. Lately they haven’t invested in it and it shows with Mahomes production, the Oline sucks and only look decent when they are allowed to tackle their opponents.

Mahomes has played enough in the NFL he can still be ok with a bad OLine. A rookie like Ward with a fragile psyche is going to crumble and won’t be able to recover.

Edit: Mahomes also wasn’t thrown right into the fire he sat for a year.

Ward is insanely talented and I can see a scenario where he’s successful being in a similar situation to Mahomes. Unfortunately he’s a top 5 pick and will go to a trash team unless someone trades up for him.

Correct. Bounce back and forth between starter and backup then settle in as a backup QB that has “talent and potential”. I mean Geno resurrected his career after the jets ruined him, it can happen.

It would work to his benefit if he was drafted later in the first round, he'd end up with a better team and a better o line. If he goes to one of the teams drafting 1-4, he'll be gone in 3 years.

Holding a clipboard for his rookie deal should make Ward more money than I will make during my lifetime.

It won't be Ward's fault that some GM/owner convinces himself to reach and take Ward early. Seems to happen every year.
