Some talk about it along with Las Vegas odds.. i would laugh my butt off if this happens. Maybe the Peter Principal at work ? He is going to do it to his fan club?

Leach seems very happy with Chun.
I'm all about keeping Leach happy!

BTW....what's your source?

why not just make it official and have Oregon/usc hire Leach with a boatload of money, they try to steal everything else

Jon Wilner, he suggested it's a good idea for USC in a recent article.

THAT ASS HAT, LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!?

SC as an institution is a **** show but it's still SC so he would probably listen assuming they throw a ton of money his way. I think I would wait for a call from UCLA before jumping to a mess at SC.

Mark Jackson from Villanova more likely. He has strong ties to USC: https://villanova.com/staff.aspx?staff=269

2 NCAA b-ball championships

If you don't want to open/read the link above, here's the most pertinent info about him:

Jackson brought with him to Villanova nearly 20 years of experience and a comprehensive knowledge of all sports and the associated support necessary to sustain an elite collegiate athletic program. He was appointed the Director of Athletics at Villanova on August 25, 2015 after serving as the Senior Associate Director of Athletics and Chief Innovation Officer at USC, where he had responsibility for the university’s flagship football program along with baseball, women’s lacrosse and support services, including sports medicine, strength and conditioning, nutrition, security and apparel operations.
Some highlights from his USC experience include oversight of more than $125 million in capital projects, playing a key role in a $300 million fundraising campaign for the USC athletic department, and managing the USC athletic department’s dealings with a multi-million dollar renovation of the Los Angeles Coliseum. Prior to USC, Jackson worked at Syracuse University as the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director, where he oversaw all aspects of athletic administration and support for 20 men’s and women’s programs. At both USC and Syracuse, he was responsible for expanding athletic department partnerships with key sponsors. Jackson also developed a strong relationship with the NCAA, assisting with the development of a robust compliance program on campus.

Also:

Jackson began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Trinity College (Connecticut) from 1995 to 1996. Jackson joined the New England Patriots' coaching staff as a special teams coaching assistant under then-Patriots head coach Pete Carroll in 1998. Carroll was fired following the 1999, but Jackson stayed on with new head coach Bill Belichick's coaching staff as a special teams and running backs coaching assistant through 2000. In 2001, Jackson rejoined Carroll, then the head coach at the University of Southern California, as the school's director of football operations and assistant athletic director, a position he held through 2005. In 2006, Jackson served as Executive Senior Associate Director of Athletics at Syracuse University before being hired as Vice President of Athlete Development at the boxing development firm A2 Holdings. In 2007, Jackson was hired by Oakland Raiders coach Lane Kiffin as the team's director of football development. On December 15, 2008, Raiders head coach Tom Cable announced that Jackson had been relieved of his duties amid a public departure of Raider assistant James Cregg who joined Kiffin's staff at the University of Tennessee.[3]

So it's coming from some hack writers head with nothing to substantiate it...

This was rumored early last week. Not sure how credible it is....but it didn't really get a lot of traction when it was first mentioned. Who knows? If Chun goes, he did at least one very good thing and that was getting rid of the 2nd worst basketball coach WSU has ever had. (Paul Graham was absolutely the worst.)

2 things

1) Bovada isn’t Vegas
2) Vegas doesn’t get involved in these types of prop wagers. They are all offshore books that have these with limits on how much you can bet.

This whole thread is just an excuse for LC to stir the pot. Not a bad discussion, though. Chun is not going to SC. The same group that finally got Swann fired will want a bigger name with a bigger track record. Chun did not hire Leach. If Chun's basketball pick works out, he keeps Leach happy and productive, and the athletic department moves toward financial stability while managing construction work well, while handling the occasional embarrassing scandal well and demonstrating fund raising prowess, he will be much higher profile in a couple of years. But at this point, he is not a big enough name for the Toejams.

Not saying he won't get to that level; I actually respect what he has done thus far. Just saying that he is not going yet.

usc wouldn't be hard to rebuild, much like texas or oklahoma
$C admin is beholden to a bunch of rich alumni.

I feel like many more people in the work force value job satisfaction more than just a big pay check and possibly prestige.

That being said, I don't know what Chuns moral fibre consists of.

Ernie Kent was better than Len Stevens or Bob Greenwood.
