Getting closer on IPF

Zags tickets were $1500 for the worst seats tonight.

Who here thinks their AD is short sighted enough to put students in the corner for a money grab?

Roth understands basic laws of supply and demand and the appeal of TV friendly crowd shots.

There’s absolutely no reason to expand Martin.

Better to get rid of Larry Scott and the bouncing start times.

Unless we get a new commissioner who can turn things around conference wise, (with us still in it), I fail to see how more debt and empty seats are going to help.

Just to be clear, I'm not advocating for a stadium expansion right now.....and given our 6-6 record this year and terrible attendance for the late games, only a crazy person thinks that Schulz and Chun are sending out an RFP anytime soon. However, it would be shortsighted for them to not have any contingency plans in place to allow for a stadium expansion if everything lines up in the near future.

Getting the IPF done is the main priority and its obvious that the people making decisions feel that way. Nothing happens until sometime after that.

The ONLY reason you redo and expand the endzone bowl is if you plan on moving the students there, which I think we should consider.

That would be a low cost expansion, and it would allow us to sell the current student section seats at premium sideline reserved pricing. 70% of the students leave at halftime anyway. Give them the endzone.

Been saying this for years. There's no other team in the conference that gives their students 50 yard line seats.

They're attending games for practically free, so give them "practically free" seats and sell the premium seats for premium prices.

I assume you're using that term loosely?

And we don't need to boot all of the students from the sideline seats. Let the students have the lower section of the sideline seats so they're right on top of our team sideline, and sell the top half at a premium to the general public. The early arriving students don't typically leave at halftime either.

Except their 'practically free' includes ongoing student fees implemented for luxury suites, stadium upgrades and the FOB as part of the bond repayment.

There wouldn't be a 'luxury' or premium facility without the ongoing student body cash flow, especially given the debacle of the phantom TV money erroneously projected for the Pac 12 Network/DirecTV.

Total PR sh*tshow if the AD tried to throttle back student seating or put them in the endzone.

Leach has said he thinks we have one of loudest stadiums.

Recruits often say they love the game environment.

1st ask Coach where he wants the students

2nd go ahead and make our crowd like other P12 and see how long before we are in Mountain West

How much are sports passes these days anyway? I remember back in my day, I thought it was hilarious how inexpensive they were.

And I'm sure there's plenty of obstacles in changes seating around like that.

Although, grand scheme, you probably end up really pissing of the current 4 classes of students for 1 season. Anyone who comes in as a freshman after that doesn't know any better and is just happy they get a really affordable ticket to get in the gate. The whole J curve thing, ya know? Might just be worth the initial PR backlash.

Looks like $239 for Pullman students.

Students get bent about everything. Then it fades into the background. Tuition increases by 1.7%- anger, fear, oppression. Two weeks later, gone. Like their hangovers.

Wow. Pretty sure mine was $60. I remember doing the math and finding that if I went to all the football games, the last one was free, as were any other games I went to.
