Here is the list of Rivals National Signing Day winners and losers. The losers list included Ole Miss, Kentucky, Michigan, TCU and South Carolina. So, there are other fan bases that are feeling worse.

Winners and Losers

I did read a comment on BX which struck a pretty strong chord with me:

Considering we are coming off of a 3 win season, our recruiting class is pretty damn good.

I have to say that I agree, and I would be interested (but too lazy/ busy to check myself) if any other 3 win team finished anywhere near to where we did in the rankings.

That would be interesting to know. It is disappointing that WSU lost players in the last week. But, where I am encouraged is that WSU did well in the trenches. They need to be physically developed more than skill players. WSU has enough depth at receiver that they can backfill in the next class. So, while it would have been great to have Green, Burnett, etc., it is not a death blow. I think Fehoko is an upgrade over Dillon Faamatau. It would have been nice to get Mason and Rudzinski, but they will be able to fill those slots either this year or next.

Don't forget that both Leniu and Priester came after signing day 2014.

Agree with 90 that the linemen look pretty good, especially on the offensive side. We struck out as far as WR's and LB's are concerned. As others have pointed out we have a decent supply of WR's already with the current group. The staff can make up for this next year. LB's are a bit more of a problem. The returnees and red shirt kids will have to pick it up.

As far as the pissing and moaning: yes, we got hammered by flips but looking at the nice haul of wide bodies I am not overly depressed. I think the problem is that we expected an A- grade class and ended up with a solid B grade class. The results did not meet the expectations. Compared to previous classes this one looks quite good. The lines- the basis for a solid team- have been strengthened. A good foundation is being laid and the staff should able to keep developing depth and talent there. Lets win this Fall and watch another good QB prospect, LB's and some promising WR's with speed added next year.

To quote Jim Sweeney, "We didn't get everyone we wanted but we want everyone we got". I'm fine with this class. We're getting better slowly but surely.
