Isn't the coaching convention like coming up? Big opportunity for whoever is left behind to build relationships.
IMO, three assistants who will definitely go with Leach to MSU are Mele, Miller and Spurrier Jr. Mele for his recruiting prowess, Miller for his ability to build and coach the O-Line and Spurrier Jr. knows the SEC very well from his days with his Dad at South Carolina.
To be frank, and Chun was nice to the assistants in his Presser, but a decent amount do not deserve P5 assistant positions at the moment. Leach got lazy with some. I think the ones who are deserving go with him...probably Phelps, Spurrier, maybe Mele for recruiting.
I bet Leach takes his entire offensive staff and leaves the defensive staff to defend for themselves. Nobody on defense is worth keeping besides Phelps IMO, but the new coach will probably bring his own staff.
Phelps and McBath would be maybes. Roc and Shaver, don't see it happening. No idea on Brock.
Miller and Spurrier would be heading closer to their roots.
You mean the buyout we will have to pay when we have to fire him before the end of his contract or the buyout we might have to pay to release him from his present contract? The money thrown around in this sport is really becoming silly.

Of the candidates being mentioned, Rolo makes under $1M, Harrell makes around $1M, Grinch makes about $1.4 & Harsin makes $1.75. Can't imagine any of these guys have real substantial buyouts.
