I understand the sentiment in the OP in some ways, but this situation doesn't lend itself to sacrificing a coordinator the same way that, e.g., Lake might get to do in Montlake. Rolo is an offensive coach hired because he runs the R&S, the OC is his guy, and the offense is awful. Firing Dickert but leaving the OC would be dumb. Firing both coordinators but allowing Rolo to stay, given the situation, also would be dumb. Then you have a dead man walking, with no money, little credibility, and little reason to be trusted, hiring a couple of coordinators. Wyoming could tackle when Dickert was the DC ... or, at least, I assume as much based on those numbers that defense put up when he was there and based on who Dickert coached under before taking over that defense.
All this firing talk aside, subject to the possibility of something happening in connection with the mandate, I'm virtually certain Chun lets things play out through this season, and probably lets him start off coaching in 2022, no matter how bad it gets.
